ok...I went and searched the wheel and tire forum for versa info just cuz well I like to look around but when I searched there was a whole one thread on a guy looking for a hubcap. SO....I decided to try this thread out, obviously it requires participation to work but I figure we will kind of put an end to will my wheel fit etc if we have our own D-base.

So...information we'll be looking for...

- Wheel Brand and where you got them from- Diameter (16/17/18) - Width- Offsets- Are there any fender modifications? if so what?- Tire Sizes - Lowered and if so whose spring/struts and how much did you lower it- Do you have any rubbing with your setup- Very important....**POST A PIC please**

Rubber: 205/45R/17, no clearance issues and within 1% of factory rolling diameter.

Boots: Motegi SP7 - flat black, chrome lip. 17 x 7, Offset:+42, front regular and rear staggered .

Pics of exhaust work later today...

Cheers

Nice. My plan is to get the Sentra SE-R Nismo wheels and 235/40R17 tires. Will be less than 1% within factory diameter. But a bit wider.

Can I suggest adding where the rims are from? It seems everywhere I look, either there's nothing available, or there's only 2 or 3 styles to pick from.

Anyone know if 8" or 8.5" wide 17" wheels will fit with the Tanabe 210 springs and, if so, what offset would be best?

I found out what was causing the rubbing on right turns.......my CAI filter was pushing against the wheel well and deformed it enough to be in the way of the tire .......Solution: I bent the bracket that hold the filter towards the front of the car so it wouldn't make contact anymore then I used a heat gun to heat up the wheel well enough to bend it back in shape......NO MORE RUBBING!!!!!!

Wanted to bump this up to see if anyone has any ideas on my previous question.

Specifically, I'm looking at the 5Zigen FN01R-C 17x8, but I can only seem to find them in +35mm offset.

That should work. To be sure use a calculator like this:http://www.venommotorsports.co...r.asp

Then go out and measure how much room you have and see if you are within the differences.

An 8" wheel will probably stick out a little bit, could be fixed with negative camber but then you are eating tires. True recommendation would probably go with the 17x7 version.

Thanks for the calculator link. A lot more in depth than the one I've been using: http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

Would a 215, 225, or 235 tire be too wide for a 7" (or 7.5") rim?

225 would probably be the widest I'd go on a 7", a 235 on a 7.5 would be the widest. I have 17x7s on one car and run 215/45/17 and they work well.

Nice! You have the exact wheels I want. Except I want the rebadged 17x7.5 Sentra SE-R Nismo wheels.

Thanks for posting the offset of your 18x8's.... I think I should be quite safe with +40-45mm offset for a 17x7.5

When it comes to new wheels, I want to compliment everyone who posted pictures above. I really like the appearance of every one of those cars. Well done!

yeah I'm sure it's rub, you can here it when the car moves when I have the wheel all the way cranked...I think I am at the extreme end of the offset, wonder if there is a spacer ring I can put in to help it or not..
