hi, new here. got my versa about... 3 weeks ago? magnetic gray, SL 1.8 w/CVT. all i added was ABS--i couldn't afford more! but since it came with power stuff i was happy enough. i paid about 16,800 before trade. i had to trade my 02 jetta in b/c the engine was shot (dealer didn't know it yet tho, haha), and i didn't wnt to have it rebuilt. the jetta had a lot more stuff on it b/c my parents bought it for me back in the day. but i'm happy with the versa--still working on getting the mileage that's advertised. if you drive slooooow, like never over 60 mph on the highway and use cruise a lot, it does make a difference. but it's so hard to do!

so far so good, probably going to upgrade the stereo sometime in the next few months, it's not bad, but it's not quite good enough!

bye y'all--

Hey everyone

I'm located in Sydney, Australia.

Nice to see a forum for Tiida/Versa's, I wish they called them Versa's here, sounds much better!

I work in the same suburb as Whiteline, they are a suspension and undercar specialist place, some of you may know about them?

I'm going there after work today and they're going to have a look at my car and see what they can do for me. Wander if any of you guys would be keen on their strut braces / sway bars / shock and spring combos.

I've got a White, 6 speed manual, I noticed alot of you complaining about not getting quoted fuel figure, I must be doing alright, I got 600kms out of 45L

Whiteline stuff is rarely seen here in the US, only where there are no other companies producing stuff. The only piece I have ever seen in person was a set of anti-sway bars on a Hyundai Sonata.

We're always interested in improvents, but bear in mind that shipping from Australia is almost as costly as the item itself. We already have 2 different manufacturers of strut tower braces and springs...

Haven't seen any anti-sways YET, but the cars have only been on the roads since last July.

I bought a Blue Onyx 1.8 S with ABS brakes and the power package three days ago. With taxes and minus the extended warranty it came to $16,840. I have no plans to do much work to it besides tint the windows.

Put money down on a red Versa SL, charcoal interior, CVT and tech package back in January. Received confirmation that it has been built and put on a train from Mexico. It is supposed to be arriving anytime now.

I bought a Powder White Versa 1.8S, hatchback automatic trans, ( I haven't seen the sedans anywhere) power package, ABS, the aluminum kickplates, beige interior. Love it so far! I paid $15,820 or so before trading in my used Saturn for $600. Got the extended warranty on top of that, so with chicago taxes (9%) it all came to about $17k.

What up people. White SL hatchback with beige interior; CVT (not tuner-enough to go with MT). Nothing special, yet. Came here to get info + help with aftermarket goodies, namely audio and wheels/tires.

Glad to have been acquainted, I'll do my best to contribute and such.

After reading the demographics post, I feel quite the zergling. I'm 18 and quite uninformed. Oh yes

My only beef with this car is (ironically?) the mileage. Tell me your tales of petroleum based misfortune or lackthereof.

2007 Versa Hatchback 1.8 SL Magnetic Grey w/ Charcoal interiorWe opted for the Convenience Package because you can't get the Intelligent Key system without it, among our options are :1) Power windows2) Power mirrors3) Rear window de-foger4) Intelligent Key system (my favorite feature)5) Power door locks (of course)6) BlueTooth phone system (way better then "OnStar")7) Alloy wheels 8) In dash CD changer w/ aux-input plug (for mp3 players etc...)9) Aluminum step guards10) Splash guards (aka mud flaps)11) Versa floor and cargo mats12) CVT drive system (another of my favorite features)

We purchased from a rural GA dealer over the internet and got a good deal. The sticker price with all the options and the bull **** dealer paint protection totaled out at $18,259 We got the total down to $16,200 including taxes (7% in my county) and title fees. With a $2,000 downpayment and 6% intrest. Which works out to about a $320 a month payment.

7-week wait.

It's so quiet. I thought I stalled it the other day, but had to look twice to make sure the engine was still running.

Woohoo! I just picked up my Black with charcoal interior SL with CVT yesterday. It looked so shiny all polished and sitting under the showroom lights. I love it already. I especially love that my payments are only $266/month.

Just Got my Versa S!

Details:Black/Charcoal6 Speed!Power PackageABS15200 out the door (5200 down, 10k loan at 6.4 = 197/month)Ordered at the dealership on Feb 3rd, received tonight (march 9)!

Most enjoyed part of the "negotations":Financial Manager: "you really should get the MPP (basically some kind of extended warranty), that way if anything breaks (insert list of parts here), it will be covered.Us: "isnt this supposed to be a reliable car? why do we need this extra protection?"Manager: "It is a reliable car, think of it this way, you wouldnt leave your computer out in the rain would you? Well, the versa has a computer, and it is out in the rain"Us: *blank stare*Manager: "maybe you would like car washes instead?"

I have to say, its really enjoyable to drive, i just drove it 40 miles tonight, it shifts very easily and comfortably, I really enjoy the 6 speeds (even if RPMs are over 3k at 80 MPH). The high ceilings really are nice, it gives a nice impression of plenty of space. My only reservation about not getting the SL is the lack of a center arm rest, we will see how driving without one goes.

It does take a little while to get used to the 6 speed (which i very much enjoy). It is very tempting to move the shifter to the far bottom left gear (rev in a 5 speed, 6th gear in a 6 speed). Any way, After having my new car for a grand total of about 2 hours, it is awesome!

Whats goin' on guys? My names Tom, I've been viewing this forum for months but have never posted so here's my first. I've had my versa for about 6 months or so now, and loving every minute of it.

Super Black 1.8 SCVT TransmissionPower Package Dark Interior

I've never been one to do anything drastic with a car, but I guess I've never loved a car as much as my V. Theres many things to do to this car. I've done couple things to it so far. Got a remote car starter installed so I can get into a warm versa and last week I installed my after market CD player. By summer I'll have 18" tires, smoked out tail lights. Many more things to do to the best hatch. I'll post pictures when it's not just standard looking.

Yea, this is my favorite part too. Being able to confidently deny all of their extra unneeded bells and whistles. I find it funny that this is one of the few pitches that's consistent with most dealers.

S with a power package... don't you mean you have the 4-speed auto? (The CVT is only on the SL...)

Welcome aboard, and we'd love to see pics when you're ready!

I almost got a HB but I liked the rear visibility of the sedan better. Ordered floor mats from courtesyparts.comat about half price of the optional ones.

My new baby had 66mi. at POS; she also has the Convenience Package. I paid ~$15,500 for it, after my trade-in and down payment, at Passport Nissan of Alexandria. Fred, the only manager on duty last night, was awesome. My fiance and I spent probably 4-6 hours there.

Before this, I owned (and subsequently traded in) a 1997 Toyota Tercel CE, AT, Medow Green ext./Gray int.; at POS/trade-in, had around 88k mi. and some body work to be done. I got $1k for the trade-in and put $800 down. Sweet, sweet deal. I wanted more for my old baby but it was her time to go.

You might want to pose that question as a separate thread, not everyone who is knowledgeable reads this thread... so you're more likely to get a response if you create a new post on the issue.

Welcome to the newest batch, BTW!
