Ok, I suppose it's time for my list again... mind you, all of these since 1994.
76 Subaru DL sedan FWD 4MT 1.4L (bought with 310k miles, transmission ripped inhalf at 315k miles)82 Subaru GL wagon FWD 5MT 1.8L (bought with 87k, sold at 131k)91 Geo Storm 5MT 1.6L SOHC (bought with 82k, traded with 104k)93 Hyundai Elantra 4AT 1.8L DOHC (bought with 54k, repossessed)87 Subaru GL sedan 4WD D/R 5MT 1.8L SOHC 1BBL (bought with 122k, retired with 166k, was leaking oil at rate of 2 qts/wk)87.5 Subaru XT GL coupe FWD 5MT 1.8L SOHC MPFI (bought with 150k, sold for more than I bought it with 158k)84 Subaru GL-10 wagon FWD 3AT (bought as a project for $400, ended up being a parts car after less than 1,000 miles)91 Subaru Legacy L sedan FWD 4AT 2.2L DOHC (wrecked after owning 15k miles... run off the road by a commercial van)97 Saturn SC1 coupe 5MT 1.9L SOHC (Bought with 32k, traded with 56k. For both blast to drive and fuel economy, I miss this car the most.)02 Kia Spectra LS 5MT 1.8L DOHC (bought brand new, traded with 23k, wanted more power)04 Kia Optima LX V6 4SMAT 2.7L DOHC (bought brand new, traded with 36k, fuel economy was killing me in the new job. Was a very fast sedan, though)84 Subaru GL-10 hardtop pushbutton 4WD 3AT 1.8L OHV Turbo (bought as a project, never was able to clear all the water out of the fuel system, sold as a parts car)88 Subaru XT6 FT4WD 5MT w/locking diff 2.7L MPFI (dunno how many cams) (bought as a project with a completely dead suspension for $500. Fixed it up, took it to a Subaru meet, played in the mud pit, and traded it straight up for the next car)88 Mazda RX-7 5MT 13B Rotary non-turbo (Drove it for about 3k miles before I determined that if I kept it, I would kill myself in a horrible but fun way)07 Nissan Versa SL 6MT (you know what the engine is) (bought new, wrecked/rebuilt/sold with less than 8k)87.5 Subaru XT GL coupe FWD 5MT 1.8L SOHC MPFI (bought as extra car while wife's Tucson was wrecked, drove for 4k miles, sold for $200 less, which was way less than the rental would have cost for that long)91 Subaru Legacy L+ wagon AWD 4AT 2.2L DOHC (bought with 97k, sold with 110k to coworker who desperately needed a better car)07 Nissan Versa SL 6MT (again, dur...) (bought new, passed 13k mark yesterday)
I'm very hard on cars. Or at least I used to be. Not so much now.
Now, since matt_a opened the spousal floodgates, here's what my wife has owned (much shorter list):
1968 Volvo 122S manual (bought for $1, three tone paint: puke green, primer, and rust. Sold after she owned it about 3 years)1982 Subaru DL wagon FWD 5MT 1.8L (hand-me-down from my parents, given to her at 183k miles, retired at 210k miles due to blown head gasket)1984 Subaru GL sedan pushbutton 4WD 3AT 1.8L (purchased at 110k miles, taken by her father in exchange for below car at about 135k miles)1993 Honda Accord SE 4AT (purchased by her father for her at 162k miles, stolen at 173k miles with an impending transmission failure)1994 Subaru Legacy L sedan FWD 4AT (bought with 77k miles, traded with 123k miles and a main bearing rattle)2005 Hyundai Tucson GLS FWD 4SMAT 2.7L DOHC (bought brand new, currently at 47k miles)
Y'all gonna kill me for the long post now?
