To be quite honest, this thread was quite boring to read, if you would have added pics to your posts it might have gotten the attention you desired. Plus its another sr build...But still very nice.

Awesome progress thus far, but if you don't mind me asking, how much did everything total up to be (labour, parts, shipping, everything)? Have fun with that new sr!!

tbqh, it wasn't made to be an eye catcher. it's my progress thread, a place for me to keep people that DO read it (nismofly, a few other of my friends) up to date on what's going on with my car when i can't get in touch with them. sorry if it didn't meet your expectations

total cost was a lot :xi definitely didn't take the cheap way into this build...

and yes, the sr started up with only one minor problem. an o-ring was damaged during injector installation, causing it to run incredibly rich and, what sounded like, on 3 cylinders. a quick replacement fixed it and everything is perfect now.

The open tube on the side of the valve cover if for the p.c.v. valve I belive. Need to get a catch can for it or run a hose the the intake pipe if the pipe has a provision for it.

Looks like everything is coming along nicely! Congrats. But hey, have your buddy fix that wiring hanging down under the cold pipe on the pass. side of the engine compartment. Looks like the relay and wiring for the electric fans. If so, mount that thing somewhere before the wiring comes loose.

Nice build...also noticed the exposed/hanging relay. Please do yourself a favor and secure/protect the relay and contacts before it comes loose, gets wet.etc.....

It just vents the valve cover. You still have your stock catch can so I would just get a little breather filter for the other end. I wouldn't run it back to your intake because anytime you get some blowby it's going into your turbo compressor.

Go to the SR section and look at the roll call thread and see what everyone else has done. I didn't have the stock can so I ran a straight hose back to the block, and the other side goes to an aftermarket catch can then to nothing. I'm prob going to put a breather on it just so it looks more complete, but it's not necessary.

i'd maybe go to the track if it was quarter mile

and no, i don't have ac. plus it wouldn't work very well if i did since i don't have the center vents!

hurry that build up and come visit me at work or let's hang out or something

back in the saddle! with updates!

had my "ecu problem" fixed, turned out it wasn't the ecu at all. my car has apparently been hit in the passenger quarter area, which eventually seems to have made my body harness connections back there ****ty over time, so my fuel pump wasn't getting any power. wired up a relay and it runs excellently again.

just ordered coilovers last night. stance gr+. excited to finally be getting suspension on since i'm riding with my front sitting higher than my rear... poor usdm stock springs on an sr.

up next is the 300 brake swap (i'm so original with my build!). i have the front calipers and brake master cylinder, and i'm in the midst of getting the rears and hopefully the e-brake setup at the same time. then i'm ordering 5 lug hubs, rotors, pads, and the brake booster then it's off to dynospeed!

updates: big fat brakes for my stopping pleasure, and finally a matching set of wheels. and coilovers. stance gr

what's next? paint and body work!

7k loan, but that was for the engine swap and all the parts for it. everything since has been out of my own pocket, like anyone else.

and i spent more than 7k doing the swap ;x
