Look more into the RB25 units as well as the VG30DEs. Something's a tad bit different about the RB26 components, but I could be wrong. I can only go with parts I know that work and the VGDe series and the RB25s are comparable for the CA.

RB26DETT lifters are 1mm larger in diameter.. no they won't work.

Some people machine out the lifter bores to suit the rb26 lifters.

This is the 100% truth.

Good info "datto" . I knew they wouldn't work, but didn't know exactly why.

I am so trying NOT to spend money on getting my little ca back together, but alas upgrades are afoot...

Anyone with experience using the NISMO z32 valve springs? I get killer deals on OEM.

I use Z32 heavy duty valve springs and they do pretty well.

stock valves are just fine, If your factor guides aren't damaged, they can be re-used. But if you're referring to that motor you just got, you're going to spend more money than you think.

Thats not the truth about ca18det i europe.I have solid lifters from a rb26dett and its the same as my ca18det i diameter and length. But you have to custom made the shims.

So are you saying the stock CA18DET lifter bores will accept aftermarket solid lifters from the RB26DETT? If so, that is good to know, but I was always under the assumption that the RB26DETT (at least the 2nd generation) had some differences.

I can't vouch for the facts on a Euro head.

I wonder if the euro part number for the factory lifter is the same as the JDM one?

Hmm.

I am sure that maybe Float or Tyrannix can shed some light on this considering they both have purchased 4 port heads from me. I will see if a friend of mine can pull up a part number if anybody is really interested.

If I have time this weekend I will pull the JDM head out and compare the lifters to the Euro one if anybody would like to see that.
