12-8 Is a very long time.....how about 12-5 and lowering the price? I will definately be done by september with my turbo project. What are the rules there for safety equiptment? I need to know rules for low 12's posibly a High 11. I know a helmet and probably a 4pt harness. Do i need a roll cage? I still say that richmond would be heck of a lot cheaper...Plus they have time boards now...lol

Either way is cool, we don't all have to go to the meeting do we? That is a long drive for me to just go to a meeting. Let us know what is going on.

12-8 was just the max time frame he was giving us. We can leave whenever we want, it's like getting the track from 12-8 for the price of 12-5.

I beleive 12.3 and below requires a 6 point cage. I have it all written down at home, will post. For tech though, just make sure car is road worthy no exposed wires no missing lug nuts decent tires(not on wear bars).

The meeting was more of a trust issue. I wouldn't really expect anyone to trust someone you've never met with your money but if your willing to paypal me or something thats cool too. We just can't collect any money on the premisis, more things get involved and it makes the price of renting higher.

Just got prices for everyone. It's looking like its gonna be $40 a driver and either $5-$10 a spectator. I just got prices 10min ago so thats a rough guesstimate. I'll post either later tonight or sometime tommorow with everything thats going on.

Alright here we go...**Sunday September 25,2005 12pm- whenever we leave**Prices will be $40 per racer and $10 per spectator. And for that price I need at least 45 racers to come for the event to pay for itself. I'd like to get as much of the NICO family there but I dont think we will have as many as I need. I'll probably post this for NC guys as well.

The issue I'm struggling with is payment. I need to have the money 2 weeks before the event. I can't come up with the money to cover it all. We can't collect money on site because of cost issues. Which forces me to come up with other ideas. Let me know what you think of this idea: I've thought about creating a paypal account just for this event. You make your payment and your name(and whoever else you paid for)will go on a list. This list will be present at the meet at the gates. Kind of like like at a club if your name aint on the list you dont get in. I originaly was going to hold a drivers meeting at dinwiddee w/ the GM and explain everything in person and collect money then but then realized its a pretty long drive for most of you.

I'll start a new thread once I get the payment figured out. But everything is a go. Let me know if you have any other ideas or questions.

you mind posting the necessities to race...(overflow tank, bat tie down. etc) I plan on running high 13's or so on low boost KAT....My car will definatly be put together by then. Price is very steep, but i guess it is worth it to race and meet other Nico members. Let me know how we can make payment and set-up some type of receipt system, maybe even an online list of attendees to make sure you are on the list.

Well if everyone is ok with the paypal deal then I'd like to do that. It won't be my personal account. Paypal is secure and you get your receipt when you pay. As people start paying I could post the list here on Nico for everyone to see. Here's their site if anyone is interested:http://www.virginiamotorsportspk.comHere's what the GM told me tech would be checking for:Nitrous -make sure it is plummed right(nothing hacked) -If bottle is inside it needs to be ventedSteering column in safe conditionShifter in working conditionHave all lug nuts and your tires should not be on their wear barsBattery tie-down in placeSeatbelts functioning properlyWhen I've gone on friday nights in the past they just make you pop your hood and they look for the battery tie-down and that everything is safe, no loose wires or anything leaking. They peek inside your car and then they do a walk around. No one should really have a problem, no one is bringing a dragster or anything(i hope).**If you think you plan on running 12's to let you know anything at 12.39 and below requires a roll cage and a six point harness. I'll get in touch with him tommorrow about helmets. If you guys think of anything else post or email me: [email protected]

Alright since no one has really downed the Paypal idea I'm going to go ahead with that. Give me a few days to get all the info put together and I'll start a new thread with everything you need to know, until then...

I had a thread going in General Chat about a meeting up at the Audi Club (ACNA) 2 day school at VIR in April. Some VA/MD Niconauts expressed interest hooking up. Owning an Audi is not required. I go every year in a stock Nissan. Great folks, not stuffy.

It's reasonably priced, lotsa track time and lotsa fun. I think the thread is titled "Drive your Nissan on a real race track" It'll pop up if you do a search.

The event has actually been cancelled....for now. Were looking at doing this in 2006. They gave our date away I was on my way down there with a $500 dollar deposit to keep our date going. Turns out an autocross group(VMSC) took it. Here's the link to where you can read more about what this yeas event was going to be like:zerothread?id=104997
