I've got an AEM wideband mounted in my testpipe on my redtop. due to my car running rich for a long time, I'm fairly certain my orig. o2 is fried. the wideband o2 has 4 total wires, red power, black neg. white 0-5v analog, and blue serial. I am wondering if i can hook my normal o2 up to the wideband because im too poor to buy a new one haha. would i just take the output wire from the original o2 and hook it to the 0-5v analog wire?

If the O2 sensor is the problem, replace it. Look at parts interchange list for a cheaper option.

wide band censor versus stock narrow band . it may or may not read correct your ecu is not programed to read wide band only narrow band imo.unless your running a aem ems .

If you are using the gauge type UEGO controler, it has 4 or 5 different output settings so it can be linked to an ECU.

I attempted to do this using my AEM, but the voltages were off. I only tried a single setting, (nernst cell) before welding another bung in.

A new o2 sensor should only be like $40, just buy a new one.

yeah i thought id have a chance of hooking it to the analog source, but i later found the voltage was wrong. if you would be so kind to route me to an o2 thats 40 bucks it would be greatly appreciated the cheapest ive found were in the 70 dollar range.

Ok, I just looked, and found $58 at orlys, first place I checked. I guarantee you can find them cheaper. I haven't put a new o2 sensor in my S14 for a few years. Prices have gone up.

I dont remember ECU codes, is the 62 the manual S13 SR ECU? IIRC the 63 is the auto.

If yes, then I also have a 62, and yes mine has an LED built in.

yeah 62 is the redtop 5 speed and e5 is the s13 blacktop. ive got a piggy so i cant do that whole wire in the light to my check engine light because i dont have the consult port. i had an e5, which doesnt have the light on it, but hijacker told me that he has an e5 with a light, so some older models came with them. im just hoping the 62 im buying has one in it. which i figured, because its the older, redtop version. just wanted to comfirm it. thanks

While sligtly differnent, Iv'e use da PLX now for 6 years (on the Altima and the 240) in palce of the stock 02 sensor (PLX has a narrowband output) without a single issue.

yeah my aem only has an analog (0-5v) output wire. the normal narrowband is 0-1v iirc
