I paid $2000 for my 92 coupe, starter was the only thing I had to replace, it's a black 5 spd with only 130k miles, suhweet interior too.....

I got lucky :)

I have been looking for a 240SX for the whole summer now. Can't get it right now, but doing my research. How much they are, reading up on here, etc.

Just do what I do. Keep an eye on autotrader, papers, whatever source you have. I find about 3-4 "good ones" (5spd S13, everything else I am looking for) every week or two. Hopefully I can grab one fairly quickly when I am ready to buy one.

Pricey, but this is my fault because I was rather picky and didn't want to look for 6 months :-)[It is quite hard to find descent 240SXs around here--Clarksville, TN]
Welcome to the boards always good to see more Tennessee people on here. You should check out the meet section for the sept. 6th Bowling Green meet. :batman

I picked up a 92 se, 5 spd, hatch in excellent condition for 1900. Runs like a dream, almost no body damage, found it after looking for about a week.

Be patient and be picky. The right car will come along.

I found my super-sweet s13 hatch right here on NICO in the b/s/t forum. I drove all the way to Philly to buy it from the original owner who had kept it in the garage it's whole life. Got it for $1400 and buried the speedo on the way home. Hehe.

I picked up my first 240, a 90 cpe w/pw stuff, for $1950. It was in perfect shape (except a rusted out hole under the drivers door) and only had 74K on the OD. However after that met an untimely demise this past winter, I picked up a 90 fsb w/ a "cracked block"(which I believe is just the timing chain problem) that needed some body work for $500 from a friends uncle. The best place is to look through the buy/sell/trade here, and local papers IMHO of course.

Well I picked up my 90' for 8400. It has the SR20 in it and is already putting down 422 at the rear wheels now. It also has 52k original miles and the same miles on the SR20. Not to mention, lots of aftermarket body work ;) Just keep searching, I am always finding needles in haystacks, you just have to know where to look. By the way I flew for 4 hours and drove it back home for 12 hours the same day but if you want it bad, you put up with it :)
