My 91 Q45T needs a Power steering tube part # 49713-63U10. This was confirmed by an Infiniti dealership which also cannot get the part. I've searched everywhere. A few places who list the part as available ultimately don't have it. I really need this asap. Thx for any help...

I have tried them by calling them and they said they can only reply via email. I sent them that email on 12/23 and recieved the following same day response: "Your request for availability has been submitted to my warehouse. Once stock has been obtained you will be contacted with further information."
I'm not to optimistic because a rep from infinitiusa searched all the infiniti and nissan dealers in the country and said there was no stock on this item. I've searched every imaginable site from ebay to every parts store napa, advanced etc. no luck. :(
I can't believe that my well maintained Q with 81k is in this situation.

Is ordering from Japan a possibility?

I suppose it could be. I would recommend removing the hose assembly and taking it down to a local hydraulic shop and have them repair yours or build you a new one. Probably less than $100 that way...

Welcome to NICO! Tell us a little about your car and your location?

Did the rubber part of the hose burst?

A member had a hose repaired at the following place in CA.

I've started the process down that road about repairing / fabricating the steering tube. I'm looking at who maybe able to help. It's gonna b a tough road bcauz I'm not really that mechanically inclined and don't have access to a lift and many tools. It still being the holiday weekend isn't exactly helping either.

The car is a 91 Q45T that i purchased as a dealer demo in 92. It had been my dream car and ran extremely well and been factory serviced. I've maintained it well. I'm on the east coast in the Long Island area. I had an extended warranty (total 11 yrs.) that helped for along time to cover deal $ costs. Now this PS tube which I believe is only on the T cars with the Hicas steering has deteriorated/rusted and is leaking and not allowing fluid to the steering mechanism. This is my only vehicle so call me desperate. Thx...

Was it a ps tube for a T car and I wonderif they could duplicate the part without physically having the part there. (Copy from a previous order or getting the schematics or composition and then recreate one?) Is there a way to get specific detailed part info?

I am the member that has had two hose built for me over time at the hose shop. Most shops refuse to do it because they do not have the right ends to fabricate a new hose from. The old hose helps them get it right, but they still need an idea of how much bend you need.

If you can't find someone locally (I don't know where you are located) You could look at buying a used part that at least has the right ends to have the new hose built from... add pictures and measurements of the old hose - obviously the host is removed from the car to get decent specs.

If you are lucky, it is not the hose that requires very small hands to remove. I bought a 15/16" ratcheting box wrench which was essential to the removal.

Hi Eric, would the hose shop have a record of the specs for your order and wouldn't that hose fit my 91T assuming that yours was done for your 94T? If thats the case then maybe they have both the knowledge and capability to duplicate the power steering tube again.
PS: I'd gladly buy a used part to be able to help in the repair process but I can't find one.

It seems one of you is talking about a hose{rubber}, and the other a metal hard line tube.....two different things!

I don't know how I can clarify the part that's needed any further than listing the name and the part no. (Power steering tube part # 49713-63U10). I have found this part 3 times and ordered it only to be later told that it is unavailable. Once again this is probably a part unique to Q45T's and it is a "tube". Thanks all for any help regarding this.

Does anybody have a hose diagram we can examine? If someone will email it to me I will post it on PhotoBucket for all to enjoy. I think there may still be a 95 model Q in my local salvage yard. If I'm not dreaming, I believe that one was a T model -- thus I didn't want anything from it.

A while back, I pulled a part for another member on L.I. in need of a PowerSteering line.

I know that Q has been on the yard for over 60 days so it's days soon to be crushed.

On the time I scavenged that other line, I knew from looking at a diagram exactly what to pull..

I have a very complicated schematic that I believe shows the part. I'll try to post it. I got it somehow from a Russian website. I been trying to get a better diagram or pic of the part. How do you post a pic here?

I see 49713N pointing to two hoses in the diagram. Do the hoses use any rubber?

"The hose shop" doesn't know about cars.. maybe about trucks, fork lifts, and other hydraulic equipment.
You give them a hose, and they copy it using high pressure components.

Sounds like you really need to be sure of the hose you need. If the diagram above is correct, it is metal tube of some sort. If it is a metal tube, you could always buy a flaring tools, tubing cutter and tubing bender, and create it yourself. What you can do is find the section that needs repair and just replace that section, assuming the rest is in good shape.

I'm pretty sure the diagram that OwnerCS posted is of the brake lines or fuel tubes...

Here's another one. See if you can narrow it down out of this picture.

Basically, if you can get the address for the picture, you can post it between image tags.

OwnerCS actually posted that picture for me. That is the part on the far right and is the best picture that I have. I didn't know how to post pics on here. Thx...

I'm looking for a simular hose. The diagram that Q451990 shown above, thats the one I need. It's the two hoses that runs along the steering rack. Does anybody have a part number for said hoses? I have a 1997 Q45.

The part number appears to be 492, if that helps ID it.
