i was in the market for new mounts and now i'm interested. how are these supposed to behave vibration/cabin wise? rough for daily driving or tolerable? i've been reading a welded diff for the last year so i know all about rough, just trying to get an idea. plus whats the process to get a set, paypal you, notify you by email and wait for finished product?

Actually, to make the mounts perfect, in about 2 weeks, Kahlil is going to drive up here (about 1.5 hrs) with stock mounts on the motor. Then we are going to revise our mounts until we get it perfect. Sorry for the delay. Your patience will pay off.

Thanks again.

Precisely. Vibration is slight (depends on how well your motor runs, condition of car, how tight you tighten the mounts). My buddy and I have them on my daily driver. With the AC on, I notice very slight vibration. My girlfriend didn't even notice. W/o the AC on, it's a little more noticeable, but nothing major.

Here's a picture of the RB mounts I made for my buddy. I didn't make the brackets, those are from Top Hat. Their rubber isolators are garbage. I will be making those mounts to replace those.

If you replace your original mounts with these sexy items.. please add a short length of chain between the chassis and the engine block. This will stop the engine flying out of the engine bay in a rollover accident. Obviously leave a little slack in the chain.

They certainly are nice and compact mounts.

Never had Nismo mounts on my car. But I know they don't carry a warranty and they split as well. I'm sure the mounts we make are more stiff than nismo's. But I have them on my DD and they are fine. Small vibration at idle if my AC is turned off. Engine has like a 1/4" of play which is awesome.

The only thing I'm concerned with is that you guys get the height of the mounts correct, cause the exhaust side is lower than the intake side.
I might have to take you up on this. Kahlil won't be able to do it for me. Sorry for the delay guys. Someone has expressed their concerns. So I am going to address them myself. These mounts have worked well for our setup. I know the KA is slightly different, however, I know I can get it to work. For those who paid ahead of time, if you want a refund, let me know. It'll be a little more time. But like I mentioned before, I want a great product that'll keep the factory integrity.

Thanks and sorry guys.

When you guys sort these mounts out and get them to function properly on a CA equipped vehicle, let one of the mods or the admins know and we'll go from there. I understand your intentions are good and you obviously have really good friends that you can go at this with, but I would rather not see CA members spending money and not being fully satisfied which opens a complaint door which leads to mass drama and you, your friends, nor the mods, nor the admins, nor the CA community want to travel down that road. So I'm going to lock it for now, but when you guys' product is ready to go and you want me or one of the other mods to reopen it, just let us know.

Thanks,

Dee
