do u have a vid of your exhaust how loud is itmexillis wrote:How many people here have UpRev? If you could post where you got it tuned at, what kind of dyno it was on, power gained, any mods prior, and any comments about it since the tune. Whether you have an M35 or M45 please post.
Tuned at: Function Tuned in Sterling. VA
Dyno: Dyno Dynamics
Power gained: 30hp/30tq
Mods b4 tune: Custom 2.5" exhaust w Magnaflow X pipe, no mufflers or 2ndary cats
Comments: Improved MPG when drivinig normal, def. Worth the money, car feels like it runs smoother, added power is felt.
In this particular forum, Uprev'd is going to a tuner who uses Uprev equipment/software (not sure which exactly (to tune the car, the tuner may be using standard tunes from previous cars, these are "e-tunes", or the tuner may be fine tuning on a dyno [sometimes after applying the "e-tunes"]). How much MPG did you gain? I'd be interested in doing this just for the MPG gain.mexillis wrote:How many people here have UpRev? Thanks... I used to call that a "chip" or an ECU "flash", but cool. Uprev it is, for Infiniti/nissan purposes.The00Dustin wrote:In this particular forum, Uprev'd is going to a tuner who uses Uprev equipment/software (not sure which exactly (to tune the car, the tuner may be using standard tunes from previous cars, these are "e-tunes", or the tuner may be fine tuning on a dyno [sometimes after applying the "e-tunes"]). That's bananas MPG for this car. How much does it usually cost to get Uprev'd???mexillis wrote:I've had it at 26MPG before going 60-70MPH and usually get 300 to 350 a tank with how I drive on the regular and highest mileage to empty so far was 380 for a tank with me hauln a** here and there. I can't ever drive 60 MPH for a whole road trip so I'm sure my no.'s could be better.
There are probably chips for these cars, but most members of this forum say they are useless. I'd say being "chipped" would mean a chip was added or replaced, and an "ECU flash" is technically what Uprev does, but a dealer might do that to fix issues too. I suppose calling it tuned would be proper, but Uprev is who everyone on the forums with any real results has used so far as I know.a.blanco0905 wrote:Thanks... the reflash is 300 no matter what for UpRev the balance will be however much your tuner charges per hr. Expects to pay 6-700. ohh yeah or pay 500 and get E-tunes (explained on their site) You'd probly be the first to go this route if so just fyi with an M.a.blanco0905 wrote: That's bananas MPG for this car. There is a user on here w an M45 that gained 20/20 with only axle backs which don't really do anything for power. IDK of any M35 owners that have been Uprev'd and that's why I started this thread. Seems like not too many are still active on the forums but I think only 4-5 M45's have Uprev. I know that people with G35 are all switching to UpRev and all have gained power, so you might not gain a lot of power but you will gain some, there's no way that you get this and not gain anything.IlyaKol wrote:Would it be worth it to UpRev a stock (and I mean STOCK) car? I'm trying to squeeze as much MPG as I can out of this puppy.
Everything's going to be on the car when I get there, the only thing that I probably wont have time to do between now and tuesday is the Y pipe. So it'll basically be Stillen exhaust and Injen CAI plus the Uprev. Hope everything works out.mexillis wrote:I don't understand why they can't just do a base run, let you install the CAI which would take a few minutes then do another run. Are you going to get tuned w/out your stillen or is that installed already? If anything just go with your parts installed and what ever you gain will let us know what difference there is throughout the powerband with all your stuff.
A buddy of mine owns R/T Tuning in Lasdale, PA. Just need to find the time...mexillis wrote:Where you getting it tuned at?
it's almost a week since the tune and the car is driving smooth...the power band is very noticeable and responsive. totally different ride from stock. I have to be patient now since I'm still waiting on the other mods to become available...but I'm glad I got the tune done...big thanks to the guys at Church's -- very knowledgable and professional. I got the 5 maps and the dyno runs ($550. for everything) They have a unique set-up regarding the dyno machine (its a dynapac) it's a simple procedure compared to the 'roller dynos'.
