I don't know of any "hidden" deals for club members. Go ahead and spend 20 minutes clicking through each category and seeing what they list for your car. They can get about any part, but much of what's on the site is what's most often ordered. I believe they package the dust boots with the struts. I would replace the dust boots even if yours aren't completely bad yet; no sense paying labor twice to put off replacing such a cheap part. There are more links in the rear...not sure how to measure complexity. Each link has 1-2 rubber bushings, though they deform less than most bushings because the rubber's thinner. The knuckle body has 3-4 bushings and possibly a ball joint. Depends on if you have the HICAS or not. The links are roughly between $40 and $100. Overall more expensive than the front IMO, though I don't know what the booktime is to do it all. The wheels and hubs/axles have to come off, and the bushings pressed in and out, so it's probably more labor as well. I bought the car at 175k. I'm the third owner, the first was a business person who used the car often to commute between L.A. and S.F., and the second owner was a used car dealership owner who owned the car for a couple years while his sister was in town. It was well maintained and ran well when I bought it, and runs even better now (plenum/TB cleaned last year). I have a slow leak on the oil pan so I don't know how much oil it burns (little if any), but the oil does get dark fairly fast. I hope to see 300k someday. Then maybe I'll be ready for a 2002 Q. I live near LAX.

http://home.socal.rr.com/robverna/zrs.gifRear suspension of a 300zx, also very similar to the Q. Biggest difference visually is how the rear upper link on a Z looks. The Q's link is a single member that bends around the strut. Seems like the Z link is more efficient, but maybe the Q's is cheaper to cast (?).

I have a 1990 Q45 with 92k and I have to replace the upper links and the round part that holds the spring on the top. Do I have to replace anything else ?

Have you checked your tension rods? Shocks? Wonder why the spring seat is bad?

I replaced the schocks about six months ago with the Tokico Blues. I believe the tension rods are OK. If you raise the hood and push down on the left font spring seat there is a noticeable wear and the shock moves to the side a little bit.
