long story short, was in a wreck and bumper, headlights, hood need replacing, and if i'm coming out of pocket, might as well do something new and interesting right?

wreck thread if anyone cares: worst-day-of-my-life-possible-damage-es ... 80980.html

just need some help with a few questions please guys

* is there a difference between the 08 sport bumper and 08 non-sport bumper (Front)?

* could swapping to 08 bumper instead of rebuying an 06 bumper be that much more expensive? what do i need to take into account, new grille and fog lights for 08 bumper?

* is there a difference between 06 sport headlights and 08 sport headlights? keep seeing something about a gap when making the swap?

* when looking at the swap threads of the past on here, seems like no 06's who have the aero kit made the swap? is a 06' bumper with the aero kit lip held in higher regards then a lip-less 08 bumper? does my 06 aero kit lip go to waste if i make the swap or can i put it to use on an 08 bumper (retarded question)?

ya man...it sucks to hear what happened...I recently got rear ended...it's the inconvenience of not having your ride for awhile that is worse  BUT, you're alive and cars can be fixed

I've done the 08 sport bumper conversion, so I hope I can help a little:

* is there a difference between the 08 sport bumper and 08 non-sport bumper (Front)? YES - the 08 sport bumper is more aggressive while the non-sport is subtle in styling...I have the sport version, while another forum member - DEANM45 - recently swapped to the 08 non-sport...here's a link to an Infiniti front bumper guide, just look for the year of your choice:

http://www.oebumpers.com/inventoryresul ... e=Infiniti

* could swapping to 08 bumper instead of rebuying an 06 bumper be that much more expensive? what do i need to take into account, new grille and fog lights for 08 bumper? yes/no, you can always get a used 08 front bumper as well. you will need an 08 front grille, 08 fender liners, 08 fog light housing...if your actual fog lights are not damaged, you can use those in the 08 bumper. I picked up 08 Sentra fog lights as replacements when I had a cracked fog light...same size and a lot cheaper...found on ebay

* is there a difference between 06 sport headlights and 08 sport headlights? keep seeing something about a gap when making the swap? the headlights are the same size - I believe - the gap that occurs is from the bumper itself, meaning if the bumper is not OE, then fitment issues may occur. Also it depends on the body shop installing the bumper...some shops are more skilled than others so making a sure fit may be dependent on the skill/expertise...

* when looking at the swap threads of the past on here, seems like no 06's who have the aero kit made the swap? is a 06' bumper with the aero kit lip held in higher regards then a lip-less 08 bumper? does my 06 aero kit lip go to waste if i make the swap or can i put it to use on an 08 bumper (retarded question)? is your front lip still in good condition?? can't really tell from the pix...if not, then you'll need to get an aftermarket front lip if you stick with the 06 bumper - Infiniti does not make aero kits any longer - the company Serona makes aero kit style as a replacement. Not sure if an 06 aero kit front lip will fit an 08 front bumper w/out any modifications from the body shop

you're f*** awesome bro thanks, saw a lot of your posts in older bumper swap threads when browsing

1st time i'm hearing about the fender liners or maybe i'm just confused
2008 Infiniti M45 Sport Bumper - $275 (From a nearby shop - very good deal, the actual bumper usually goes for $330+)
Right Fog Light Lens [Part Number# 62256-EJ90C] - $45.51 (Quoted $89.20 from dealership)
Left Fog Light Lens [Part Number# 62257-EJ90C] - $47.73 (Quoted $93.54 from dealership)
2008 Infiniti M45 Grille [Part Number# 62310-EJ90B] - $235.98 (Quoted $332.50 from dealership)
2008 Infiniti M45 BOTTOM Grille [Part Number# 62254-EJ90A] - $93.22 (Quoted $156.62 from dealership)
2008 Grille Emblem - W/ Sport Package - $32.85
is there any best place to find the sport headlights or is it just luck?

it's all good brotha...glad to help.

the 08 fender liners (the piece that fit in each of the wheel wells - like splash guards that surround the front tires so crap does not go into the engine bay from the wheel wells) in the 06 they are shorter so when doing the 08 front bumper swap, you will see a gap of about 1-2 inches on the inside of the wheel well...I got mine about 2 years ago... at Infiniti parts usa:

1 of : Protector-Front Fend
(63844-EJ90A)

1 of : Protector-Front Fend
(63845-EJ90A)

The sport headlights are luck of the draw when searching used...maybe junk yards is a good look...

I personally don't like the look of the two together as I think the lines don't flow well together, but now you can see it for yourself and make your own decision. :dblthumb:

The white M35 in your pic above has the 5 spokes that split at the end. Does anyone know who makes these rims?
