As compared to what? It handled pretty good but was relatively lame in the power department by todays standards.

I went and talked to the co-owner of Tim Dahle nissan, one of the bigger dealers in the country. They have the 3rd largest dealership on the west coast, they are getting 2 GTRs in 2008. And they are going to be listed at $86,000 a piece.

Arm, Leg, Left testicle, right testicle, first born, both kidneys, one lung, lunch money, house. Maybe I can get my GF to... ahem... offer services? Anyone have any other suggestions on what I can sell to buy this heavenly vehicle? I sold my testicles because if I get this car it will be all the orgasm I need. I already sold my soul for my rb26 project . Maybe satan will give it back?

Oh yeah BTW new spy photos and video on the 2009 GTR was posted by Edmunds here http://blogs.edmunds.com/Straightline/1628 enjoy!!!!!

I think what you were trying to say is mallion bagillion trillion fagelion zazillion sell your balls dollars. when you think about it $86,000 for a car that will own most porsches, and some lambos and ferrari's its actually quite a steal. I'll go treasure hunting with you though. Any ideas for where to start looking?

I have yet to see one do the above. It takes more than a car spinning around on a display to convince me. When the production model hits the street and objective third parties start quoting figures I will beleive it.

I dunno about that the videos show the skyline walking all over the porsche and by the sound of it it is still N/A!!!!! If they still decide to twin turbo it.... OMFG a beast is in the making. I'll still be waiting until (2016?) when the old school GTR's become legal. I'm really nervous about a skyline that isn't at least some form of RB powered. The CV35 sucks balls. I hope that they do this car right. I really do. Interesting thought if the new skyline has the same wheel base and chassis code will that legalize the old school Skyline by default? I only pray...

Yeah, I've dreaded this day for a long time.

Just like a Supra, owning a Skyline is like.. a right of royalty almost. Not everyone can do it, even less can do it legally.. Now just because you're rich you can because they're going to be mass produced. Ugh. I guess now you'll just have to feel cool because you might own a JDM one nistead of a USDM one..

Oh well, now if I ever get one I can convert it to LHD without the whole dash being removed the whole time.

I agree with you except for this statement because the Supra's chassis coding is legalized and thus getting one is a lot easier. I really dont like the supra even though it is an amazing car. Maybe its because everyone who I have met that owns them is a snob. True they are powerful but there are plenty 240's not even including cars like the EVO that will put a Supra to Shame. No, the Supra isnt a legend in my opinion

From the R32 on they have been mass produced. Any chump with coin can own an R, it's the guys who can squeeze stupid power out of them themselves that get my respect. Some goof that writes a blank check and picks it up a month later with no clue what's going on with it gets none.

It's fun to beat an R with a lesser car though. Imagine this; You are john smallpenis, rich guy. You drop silly coin on the first USEM GT-R and are feeling significant psudopecker extension as you roll out of the dealership. At the first light you pull up next to a beat up 240SX with an average-looking guy driving. He turns and seeing your car gives you the thumb-up. You, being superior to his blow him off. The light goes green and you bark the tires a bit and lean into the throttle to show him how superior. You hear him ease off and hear a blowoff valve and think "silly ricer" and decide to plant it. He doesn't fall back much though and as he makes the 2-3 shift starts to actually close the distance. Now starting to get worried you wind your new car to the redline but just then a terrible screaming sound of a big wastegate drowns out your DOT-legal exhuast and the "inferior" 240 walks by you and then gets off it for just a second before planting it again in a haze of tires and it's gone, nothing but a big NICO sticker on the hatch to stand out in the crowd. At the next light he again looks at you enjoying the liklihood your recently swolen pen15 has now become an inny. You ask him what he has in there. He smiles and says "RB26 *****", gives you the finger and laughs as he turns left. Enjoy your new R

It kind of sucks to have an R if you think about it. You basically have a target on your back. Everyone is going to want to test you and if you win you have proved nothing but if you lose you are an embarassment. I would only race other GT-Rs, no shame in losing to another R. I would rather have a T because I have nothing to prove and I win either way unless I encounter a boosted hachiroku.
