Hey guys, since we are just over a month away, I thought I'd give you an update on our plans for the convention.

Thursday June 3: check-in, meet and greet
Friday June 4: rally and road course all day, drags at night
Saturday June 5: rally and drift all day
Sunday June 6: awards show, picnic, and raffle drawing Here are the prizes http://www.nissanconvention.com/raffle-prizes

For those of you that want to camp out:
$10 for the entire WEEKEND!!!! There is 24 hour security, full bathrooms and showers, and full concessions for all three meals on site. The campsite is right next to the lake which is stocked if anyone wants to fish.

There is race fuel on site, a BP less than a mile away, we will have a tire changer and a NAPA vendor with all the basics (and someone available to make a store run).

I'm gonna be talking to Jim, the General Manager, weekly until Go Time. If you have any questions, let me know! :bigthumb:

Sounds like fun, but I think I like a nice comfy hotel room bed. I just booked a room at the Embassy.

We will be there too. Though if I were one of the young ones, I'd probably throw up a tent too. I'm sure there will be some epic stories and pictures from that adventure. :)

I bet someone jumps in the water while someone is fishing, and catches a hook in the scrotum.

Hahahahaha.

Oh, just FYI. There is no swimming allowed. <It's an insurance thing.>

UPDATE:

- We have a tire changer.
- NAPA will have a booth set up with all the essentials. A runner will be available onsite for any specific parts that are needed.
- We have a source for used tires if needed.
- Camping details - You can have grills and firepits but no bonfires. No swimming. No acting like asses and destroying s***.
- Pets are the owners responsibility. NICO isn't responsible for the damage they do. Mid-America isn't responsible for any damage they do. We
have ZERO liability!!!!
- Electricity is available on the first row of the paddock for working on your cars.
- Thursday night - the gates of the track will be open until 10 PM. After that, no entrance for trucks / trailers until morning.
- Meal tickets will be picked up at the track and issued by MAM, not NICO.
- Racers are required to wear long pants and close-toed shoes. No shorts, sandals, or flip-flops will be allowed.
- We will sell t-shirts, banners, and raffle tickets at the track.
- Transponders will be available at the track. The rental fee for them is included in the registration fee, however, there are only twenty available,
so they are strictly first come, first serve.

Will have more updates soon. Please post any questions you have here.

I'm probably missing Omaha too. :( Playing catchup for slacking off and doing a full time credit load this summer.

This is entirely unacceptable.

How large of a bacon bribe would be necessary to tempt you into changing your mind?

We're into the late registration period now, and I'm still unsure if I'll make it due to having no interior installed. What is the latest someone such as myself could register? Does the $25 late track fee only apply if you're planning on using the courses? What if I just want to take a road trip and hang out with the cool kids?

No additional fee for non-track registrations.

You don't need an interior to track it!!!

Gee, we're stunned to hear it's too far for you given your whining about the issues associated with making a 4 hour drive to Carlisle. :slap: Perhaps you can leave on your summer trip now.... :)

Ha. Well, I'm sure there were many before that doubted his really being that awkward and creepy. I guess his appearance at Carlisle removed the doubt. :chuckle:
