I installed some k sport lowering springs on my 89 240sx and realized that the back is even but not the front. There is a very noticable diffrence with the naked eye. The passenger side is like the fingers high and the driver side is 2. I have a rb25 up front with the battery in the back. Does anyone have any ideas??

The only thing I can think of is that the spring isnt fully seated on the front seat.. Did anyhting seem fishy during install?

Could be defective springs, K sport is kind of bottom barrel.

Could be a blown strut, not supporting that corner.

Could be improperly installed springs or top mounts.

I don't know if it is normal or not, but I had the same problem.Over the course of 3 years I used both Tein S tech springs and Intrax on 3 different sets of shocks. GR2's, Tokico's and Koni's. The driver side just always sat a bit lower than the passenger.I finally traded up to some Tein coilovers, and resolved that issue. I kind of blame it on the extra weight of the exhaust on the driver side myself, but that is little more than speculation.

I was thinking that too gumby. Ill be able to play with the car tomm. Ill make sure that I installed them properly. The 1st time I installed the passenger side upside down. I realized that the passenger side was higher than the driver. ksport said tropsk........lol

Oh yeah the sping and shock combo is about 4 months old, if that.

ok......I worked on the 240 for about an hour in a half this afternoon.

1st: I took off the rims and jacked up both both sides at the lower control arms to compress the suspension and take my measurement. the passenger side is exactly 1/2 inch higher than the driver side.

2nd:notice that the driver side spring was upside down(according to the ksport writing found on the spring) realized later that this doenst matter. Re installed the spring the right way and still the same thing.

3rd: removed both front suspention and tore apart. I compressed both shocks to see if the driver side may have been blown. Driver and passenger shocks are both fine.

At the end of the ordeal the suspension up front is still off by 1/2 an inch. Any other ideas. It seems that maybe the driver side spring could be too soft.....

should I get new springs.

If you feel like doing the extra work, you can simply swap the entire rear shock with spring from the driver to passenger side. The front springs will have to be swapped over independently of the struts though.Or you can do what I did and simply accept the fate handed you. Then buy coilovers.

yeah I did that and got the same thing. Gotta be the driver side shock. I think im going to deal with it until I decide whether to replace the brand new shock out just admit and get coilovers.
