no don't scrub it. don't touch it with anything. just give it a good spray. don't use carby/throttle body cleaner because that leaves a sticky residue.

If they are cracked/ split cut off the bad parts or replace the hole line. See if that fixes the problem.

My car was having the exact same problem. I cut the ground to the MAF and added a direct ground from that to the body. Cars been doing fine now. But from my experience, those problems are vacume leaks, boost leaks, and mainly MAF. check and recheck it.

Does it hesitate until 3 and then hits boost and buggers off?

Hmm.. different situation. I know you probobly have, but did you check for leaks in the IC piping. I know that will cause a problem like that. Sounds like some kind of turbo related illness since most ca's begin boosting at around 2-3. (i think, im pretty new to this and besides, my tach doesnt work) just go from easy to hard, sucks not being able to figure it out, but when you do.

still stumbling. buuuut... if i just do partial throttle then i can rev as high as i want. but once i throw boost in it, she bucks like a bull. maybe i need to check for boost leak....this damn engine is pissing me off.

im kinda jumping in this late... But, Whenever i think i may have a leak in my ic piping i try and drive the car with the maf unplugged. If it idles better and seems to drive better up to 2500 rpm then i really try and hunt down the leak. Other wise it could be something slightly more serious.

OK, I'm confused now, I thought the car ran fine on boost, but stumbled off boost. But now it sounds like you're saying it's fine below 3K (off boost) but stumbles on boost.

Probable Solutions:Stumbles off boost: Leak in piping, intake manifold, brake booster line, etc. Maybe bad MAFS.

Stumbles on boost: Bad ignitor, coils, or plugs. Maybe bad MAFS, but unlikely.

as long as i dont put any load onto it to boost i can rev as high as i want but once i punch it to boost then it just stumbles. in other words it wont boost at all
