Yes 30lbs is a big difference, if torque specs weren't that big a deal the FSM wouldn't be so specific on torque specs for every single bolt on a car, they would just say "tight" or "snug". Torque specs are very important, especially on something like a flywheel. And I would say being 30lbs off is alot, especially since you didn't use any loctite or anything and im assuming reused the old bolts.

every bolt on the car has a torque spec from the factory but i seriously dont think that you will make sure your door handle screw is at the apporiate 3 ft lbs!!! like i said only something require a proper torgue spec like rods and mains!

i never torque anything to spec except something that will be moving a whole lot and real fast. for ex. flywheel and clutch. i made sure those were tighten to spec. other than that, i just made sure everything was tight. for engine mounts, loctite works best. be sure to use loctite on flywheel too.

edit: of course, when working with internals, you MUST make sure everything is tighten to spec. clicking torque wrenches are the best:D

your door handle isn't spinning at 800 RPMs while sitting idle. Engine parts have a torque spec for a reason. When your flywheel bolts fall out from vibration, i don't think "i had them tight enough" will fix the problem
