Well, I'm looking at a big nasty Pontiac Aztek



at my neighbor's house, and it has to be in the top 5 ugliest cars of the 21st century. What's your choice for the red-headed stepchild of the new-gen cars?What is the Ugliest Car of the 21st Century?

I mean what the hell?? how the hell did this car get through so many levels of production without one person stopping to say "this is one fugly car!!!", i thought they do research and test whether people like cars before they actually produce them

The 2000-2002 saturn LS2 was a very sexy car when paired with the right factory rims and paint job. And it is fast too.

The Aztek must have been a accident "oops, didnt mean to spend millions of dollars to put that one in production"

hitman , moms got the 2002 chevy tracker , pretty much the same as that xl7 (cept for the whole wheelbase thing) , feels too damned tall and narrow , and moves around ALOT on the interstate , v6 engine has NO torque down low , but outside that its pretty cool for what it is , and fairly reliable , have to attempt to start it 3 times before it will run if it has set untouched for more than 48 hours

I know how it's spelled, I just think that this is a much better name for it. I hate pretty much all SUV's and this one with the name that sounds so much like a moron takes the cake for me.

yeah i hate SUVs for the most part too, But its a nissan!!!

but really i think it has a interesting design and its made to be a road car and sold to be a road car, not like all those other SUV where the manufacturers claim their SUVs are "off-road" capable, that statement makes me want to laugh.......

I saw a silver FX45, that is one hot and fast SUV. Nissan/infinity SUVs are pretty pratical compared to domestic SUVsl.

Aztec is the fugliest car of the last decade, hands down, but this poll lists only recent cars. The Ford Edsel takes the crown. It makes the Aztec look like an Jag E-type in comparison.

I dunno i think the Honda insight is quite ugly and kind of a waste of talent but the Aztek takes the trophy for ugliest car i must admit.

hmmm..i'm going for the Aztek as the ugliest thing around. some of you are listing cars that aren't 'pretty' but i wouldn't call them ugly. heck if my beater toyota tercel ever dies i'll be looking for one of those prius or echo things. Gas mileage is where it's at! i used to think these little gas savers were butt ugly, but when you start concidering them for their very purpose as a PURE economy car they start to not look that bad. i guess it all depends on your perspective and angle of viewing the car. In which case no matter what perspective you look at the Aztek it's ugly.

Also, I wasn't aware that anything prior to the year 2000 were part of the 21st centur. :thinker Ya woulda thought something like that would have made the news. i'm playin with ya stoney!

I also think that damn Toyota Avalon is a hairy pimple. How do they classify that as a luxury sedan?

The insight is pretty because its shape makes for a drag coefficient of only 0.25.

The Aztek is ugly because its overstyled (badly) for no reason at all.

Too much of car design today is just style and marketing, with no real substance, engineering, nor ingenuity.

The current Tibby is real nice looking, but the previous gen Tiburan (with the taller inside headlights) could qualify for the most ugly list.
