allright now you guys are bashing the hybrids. the insight doesnt deserve it. to me, it looks like a "futuristic" CRX. i think they have their place in the world. the prius is pretty ugly. i'd take an insight and a civic hybrid over a prius anyday.

Yes the ugliness of the insight improves the mpg, ugly wheel covers= less drag. I agree the insight was ugly looking but it served its purpose. They sold those cars at a loss so they could get them on the road and see if honda could make a reliable hybrid. The insight was all about gearing up for the hybrid civic which looks exactly like a new civic and gets close to 60mpg. They could have just brought out the hybrid civic and see how it worked but if it sucked they didnt want to ruin the good name of the reliable civic.
