I'd say that stock for stock, comparing the entire package and not just hp figures, the stock ITR > stock S14. The stock ITR can slap on some sticky tires and drive circles around an S14 on the race track. The S14 needs at least $500 in suspension tuning to hang with the ITR.

And as far as not being a race car, id be willing to bet money that a stock modena engine and stock ITR engine, have about the same endurance on a racetrack in the same conditions etc.

When your ITR motor breaks, it won't cost nearly as much as the Ferrari motor to rebuild. No matter who built the motor in the first place, under race conditions, a motor will only last so long before something breaks.

The Integra motor is way more technically advanced than the S14 motor. Yet, there is a reason that I drive an SR20 powered 240sx and not an ITR. I'll take ~20psi, 8.3:1 compression over 11:1 compression, 8700 RPMs and VTEC any day.

Nissan > Honda. Honda's don't exactly suck though. I know some swapped hatches that will walk on 99.9% of the swapped SR20s out there. Do I want to drive one of those Honda's on a daily basis, hell no. Do I want to race one for $20... hell no.

I know a few to,and the guys that own them have thrown thousands into the motor and noth'n on handling. Sure, its fast down a straight away, but on the slalom,it ain't ****.

You drive a Honda Civic, not a race car.

I've seen Honda Civics cut across four lanes of traffic at 90+ mph without much body sway and absolutely no loss of control. If you bag on Honda, you're only making yourself look stupid. If you want to bag on a particular Honda, tuned by a particularly stupid ricer (or team of ricers), then go ahead. But if you want to continue trying to make blanket statements about Honda (the car company) sucking, I'm going to continue pointing out that you're uninformed. Come on man, Honda makes V8 turbo motors that spin to 12000 RPM and power CART cars. Where's the Nissan motor powering an open wheel race car?

Oh woopy! Sorry, but you won't be change'n my opinion or point of view any time soon. I am a very hard person to convince,go ahead and say what you want, but I will take nothing back about what I've said about Honda.

Yes, but anyone who cuts across four lanes of traffic doing 90+ mph is still a huge douchebag who feels he has something to prove by going fast and driving recklessly.

Unfortunately Phax, this is a Nissan (240sx) board so you won't see much honda (especially civic) love...If there's an import that Nissan owners (in general) dislike, I think it's honda.

no this whole convo is making me sick. No integra no S14 no integra no S14. When it comes to track not touge. They are really even. I have seen a 500hp supra not have a great track time compaired to a S15.

Now stop this whole integra vs S14 BS its ghey.

I have a friend with a dodge srt-4 bone stock. He raced a civic si with a k20a swap and only won by a few cars. The si had bolt ons. They are very capable cars i jsut dont like no torque and high rev unless it is an s2k or a nsx.

Anyways that srt-4 is fast as crap and the honda kept up a huge surprise.

About the NSX having no torque, it seems to me like it would have a decent amount. The engine displaces the same as the TL and MDX and makes only 20hp more, not enough to sacrifice all your low end. And an MDX is an suv; it needs torque. You guys get what I mean, I'm sure.

At the end of the day your still driving FF. I dont care if the ITR runs 10s stock its still FF. Now if the ITR could do like 60mpg and still accelerate decently i'd care. FF=cheap gasmileage cars
