Is there a duplicate post on SXOC that you can link to? Or it would be even better if one of you guys could get him to duplicate the post over here!

Well had the car on the dyno again.

This time with a new turbo and some other modifications.

The result was really impressive from a 1.8l engine.

705whp and 686wnm at 2.7bar boost. I guess this is the 1.8l ca18det world record without nos!

At 2.2bar boost the engine produced 59whp more than it did before on 2.35bar.

I think im pretty pleased now

Here is the vid from the dyno

That's really good. Nice and flat torq curve from 5500 to 8500 (580-680ish wheel NM) is absolutely drivable :D Almost looks like a Honda VTEC torq curve :p

Btw, 680NM is ~500 foot pounds.

Would be nice to know the specs on the engine, specially C/R and Cams.

^ Its also got a full-counterweight crank in it. That engine is a hoss. Us normal chumps should be waiting to see what spyder met throws down, as his engine internals are more attainable to us folks.

BTW I would destroy someone for a torque/power curve like that. Its positively delicious!

I'm sorry, I was thinking of Big Tone over in the UK. Sorry about that, I haven't gotten to sleep in a few days. Freaking teachers thinking they are my only priority.

Good to know the stock crank is good to 700+ whp and near 9000rpm. Your car is ridiculous, and that has got to be one if, if not the best torque curve I have ever seen on a CA18DET.

hmmmm... here is a hint: a big arse turbo runnin' a ridiculous amont of boostmight be why u hardly see similar CA18 results. Few step outside that boundary

my question is of course;what does one do with that sorta power in a street car.... and what's next crazy stuff!!! u cats on definitely on top of your game
