This is ridiculous. Post a thread with pics if you have taken any serious steps towards actually doing this in the next five years. Then come race me and realize you immense waste of time and money.

I might hack up my stock manifold to run 2 turbos once i get a tublar manifold.... It'd be funny to see 2 T25's top mounted. If you rigged it i think you could do it pretty cheep :D

I have this theory for a big fan that shoves air down the motor and makes a bigger BOOM....

Building a twin turbo SR20DEt would be such a waste of money. Even if there were benefits running them sequentially, you'd have to have some serious hp goals to excuse the need for sequential turbos on a 2 liter motor.

I think it's safe to assume that someone that thoguht that sequential turbos was his revolutionary theory is NOT going to build a 2.2 twin turbo SR20DET.

you also have to rember that 6 cylinder moters have the exaust gas pulses from 3 cylinders for each turbo, a TT SR would only have 2 cylinders per turbo. Plenty of production twin turbo 6's out there, zero twin turbo 4's.

Twin turbo = twice the oil lines, twice the water lines, twice the (custom) exaust piping, 2x wastegates to plumb, 2x intakes, custom exaust manifold, custom IC piping etc. Even if you do it cheap its still expensive :D

Well that's really not much of an argument for twin turboing an SR, seeing as how 2JZs are twin turbo stock, and in that form will be leagues ahead of the stock solara engine. Street glow is a stupid ricer crap company anyway, so who cares what they sponsor. especially when it comes to putting supra engines into solaras. the tunda is a cooler project, but still no kind of surprise, since the 2JZ is a perfectly logical swap for anything, especially a heavy, slow toyota.

Incorrect.

Toyota made a small amount of Twin Turbo SW20's.

From what I have seen, they are pretty rare. I've seen pictures of it, and they even have different markings on either the valve cover or intake manifold, I can't remember.

It's been at least 2 years since the last time I saw it, but I know it exists.

I know people will call shenanigans, but even I called shenanigans... It was back on speedoptions like 3 years ago, some guy posted his specs and everyone flamed him, then he posted pics of it and shut us all up.

Disco Potato turbo is a POS, S15 turbo spools quicker and makes more HP. GT25R spools allmost as quick and makes 100+ more HP.

Twin turbo's is also a BAD idea, you double the slip loss' and double the pumping loss..... all to run 2 smaller less effecient turbo's.

Get a 'man sized' turbo and leave it alone. Why do you think every fast supra has a single turbo?

I dunno just for fun if you know how to weld i don't think it would be a big deal... make some big T's for the feed and returns for oil and coolant... Then you can fab a ghetto exhaust using parts from some factory DP's and the intake is easy too if you aren't scared of having non mandrel bends... I'm not saying i'de do it to be faster or better... but it would be interesting... A fun project for a spare car...

It is definately possible. I'de just do them side by side running of a hacked factory manifold. keep the boost down cause it's gonna flow twice as mutch as the single T25

You know what's funny about this topic. Most people with oem TT cars eventually convert to single turbo setups. TT's are a p.i.t.a.

Believe me, the less technology the better.

Besides that, it wouldn't make sense on a cost/hp benefit analysis.

Not to beat a dead horse, but the twin turbo MR2 was/is a kit. it's the VATN twin turbo kit. A guy named Poya has it on the MR2 boards. Look up the VATN twin turbo kit and you'll know what i'm talking about. It's much MUCH more different that what you're thinking of. Trust me.
