SO I did a search and I can't find anything about a twin turbo ka24e, is it even possible? If so can I get a link to a build or something to show me how it should be done.

Thanks to all who reply.

I don't think twins would be a good idea, a single can make just as much power. Your going to pay for 2 of everything and still end up with the same HP, and twice the lag probably. A compound would be better, but kinda pointless. Just put a single on it and let it eat.

Correct me if I am wrong... but twin turbos reduce lag while still having high peak horse power... not as much peak horsepower as a single turbo can do- but still pretty high with virtually no lag.

I am sorry I can't remember who... but someone on here is doing a superchared and turbo charged single cam ka build on here. That sounds like a better option than twin turbo to me. Probably search ka24ert

I was just wondering if it was possible. I was just going to run a single turbo off a sr20det

I think it's because it's probably the best KA24E build on the internet right now. I think you might be starting a new trend for the guys with a lotta cash or those on military pay Martin.

Why thank you Evan! But so as though not to thread jack. I think with the advancement of turbos these days a twin turbo setup would not be much of a change...my turbo started to spool at 2600 and at 3500 i was at full spool. The only exception would be if you placed them in series, meaning one spools the larger one. but the math would be a little difficult since you wouldnt want the larger one to end up in surge. then you would have the complication of squeezing everything into that side of the bay...2 of everything. not saying it cant be done or wouldnt be cool but, for the price of the equipment you "might" not see the gains your looking for...

Martin, that's pretty much the thread I posted off KA-t. I saw another one a while ago but the piping was hella more complicated and I think it was on a DOHC.

The issue is the efficiency. A bi turbo would be an okay set up, but twins on a 4 cylinder is hard to pull off.

i feel like its pointless having 2 cyl's run a turbo when you could just have 4 to 1 but i mean whatever floats ya boats and it would create more lag unless you do a compound turbo setup.
