I believe Stillen is still in the process of manufacturing a turbo for the 2.5's but my guess is that it is going to take a while for it to be developed and ready for sales.

There is a turbo charger for the 3.5 however and I'm sure if you have the cash you can have them manufacture one for the 2.5. Just a guess though don't take my word

yea a few people have 20's including myself. Yes they do fit fine, depending on your offset and your tire profile.. you will probably need to get a 35 series tire. I have 20's wrapped in 35 series tire with Eibach drop with no problem...

Correction... There is a TURBO that fits the QR25... there just isnt a kit that fits the A/C 2.5

If you have the cash you could find a reputable shop to custom fab you a kit but thats a good $4,000 at the very least.

Stillen did an interest thread for a 2.5 turbo kit but said there wasnt enough interest to make one yet. I dont know where they stand on it now but i dont anything will come out in the near future. But there are plenty of guys, including myself, that want to turbo our 2.5's.

Start emailing a bunch of shops asking how many people they would need to be seriously interested in a turbo before they would create a kit for the market...lol Thats the only way we will get one.

Ya plenty of people are running 20s you just need to look around. The stickied mod list at the top of the Altima Coupe section should show the results you are looking for as well as the wheel section.

I'd be down for a 2.5 turbo but not until my car gets a little older and I have a bit more money to throw down

Unfortunately the only way to get one right now is to have a kit custom made. Stillen killed their 2.5 Turbo.
kyle@stillen wrote:We posted a "gauging interest" thread about a year ago and found that there was just not enough of a market to warrant the tooling and manufacturing cost. Pricing estimates were right around 5K retail and there just didn't seem to be enough interest to support it so we killed the project.

That would be about right...power ain't cheap...you would be better off with the 3.5 for that initial burst in power.

Although...I have got to wondering something...what kind of MPG would you get with a turbo!?! With decent driving...33+ easy? Everything would be working great...

that seems kinda high, but may be accurate. Or it could just be CA inflation.

Did the quote the possible gains or benifits. i need details.

im accually really looking into this, and im accually saving up some cash for future plans.

but not sure, since i got the 2.5 cvt, it's worth it or not.

if not going to turbo or SC, might move on to something like a used 335 some time in the fall or winter

so, anyone got 2.5 turbos in their minds also?

i would b down for turbo, but it will just be a matter of time b4 a company like stillen or turbonotics makes a turbo. if they make turbos for cars like scions they will defiantely make a turbo for an a/c 2.5! give it time and it will come out b4 u know it. what we shou;d do is make a thread like this one to create demand for the turbo and contact a compnay like stillen, artisan, or turbonotics to make one.

Again, it's all fine and well to claim that these companies will come out with a turbo...but will they? I mean, the QR25 has been around for a few years now but there hasn't been that much FI action going on with it thus far. You can't really compare it to something like the tC or even the numerous Honda engines that are boostable. The biggest problem with the QR is the fact that it wasn't designed to handle boost in stock form. If you want to go FI safely, you've got to do so much work to the internals that it's practically not worth it any more. Read that article that JD posted...it'll tell you everything you need to know.

...that being said, I too wouldn't mind a few extra ponies via mild FI...I just know it really isn't very cost-effective.

HAHA! Sorry man, just my take on the matter! I priced out how much it would cost for the valve springs, cams, etc and IIRC it added another $1500 onto the price tag. If there was a more cost effective method, I'd probably be jumping all over it. I much prefer small, boosted engines to those with higher displacement.

All that being said (and my previous grumpiness aside), I'm still wondering how the Altima Hybrid managed to crank out 400+ hp...was it the QR or the electric motor that provided the bulk of that grunt?

true... 50hp for 5k+ isnt really worth it. ive wanted a 335 for a long time now and im just gonna turn that turbo fund into a 335 fund....lol

And i cant justify getting a 3.5 cause i dont think anything with over 200hp should be FWD...lol i want my RWD back!!....lol

Probably... lol Its cool tho... you just get torque steer when you push a FWD that has any kind of power. I cant honestly say for the 3.5 cause i havent driven it, i just cant jusify a FWD pushing 300hp. RWD just handles soooo much better than FWD.

And i understand guys wanting a FWD for the snow and all but hell i live down in FL... We dont get no snow...lol

haha well dont feel too bad. ive had a couple problems with it.

I think i lost a little low end torque (not confirmed tho)It has a really bad drone around 3k rpmand its causing my whole car to vibrate really bad causing alot of creaks and squeaks.

Im wondering if i could pinch the pipe closed little bit down to 2 1/4 instead of 2 1/2, if it would do anything to fix all that tho. i just need an expert opinion

yeah, 335 is a great car, aint cheep though.

a friend got 335, just with chip and straight pipe, it beats new M3 up to like 110

with that being said, im not rich and i dont have extra 30 grand to spend. Stuck with the 2.5, maybe turbo it to make it a little bit more enjoyable to drive.

when u said for 50hp for turbo is that factual numbers or ur using it to make a point?
