Just personal prefernce...I have mine mounted on the knee kick pannel under the steering wheel. Sometimes you just have to see how much wiring your timer has. If you bought brand new and have the ignition harness...you could mount it just about anywhere...

BTW...how come you are never on AIM...I am on right now. boostedmayhem

you should only have maybe two wires, depending on what your timer can do...one for the handbrake lead, and one for the tach wire or the speedo...all the rest should be plug and play...oh and also a ground

I had that same timer in my GSX and its a real easy install. All you have to do is splice one wire into the hand brake wire for the light...then the other is for the tach lead to the ECU, and I think a ground and power...can't remember. Everything else is plug and play. And its a really nice compact timer as well. Good choice. Depending on who you bought it from, you should get a paper that showes wiring diagrams for the ECUs...and it tells you what wire to splice. You have the RB20 right...if so, I can let you know what wire to splice into...as soon as I get my schematic next week from my friends shop manual.

oh yea its a nice lil unit smaller then i thought but pretty damn cool.i got the timer from Enjuku racing, it came sealed so everything is there (like mounts, a thick manual in Jap. and a few other papers, a manual in english with wire diagrams. yea i will be using the RB20 so you can let me know when you get that wire specs; please

This is where I put it on my S14

But after I scrape up money for a R-Vit, I want to put the timer where the boost controller is and put the controller and R-Vit where the vents are.

if you want it hidden you can put it in the coin thing and somehow make it so you can still flip up the cover with it inside

I just cut a hole in the back of the din box and mounted it in there. Ran all the wires in behind the radio and all. HKS E-01 timer BTW.

Actually yes, I got it today, and unfortunately, I don't have a scanner, so I will try to describe it to you best that I can.

If you look at the top, your ecu should 4 plugs, two on each side of the center bolt...there should be a bolt on the top, dead center. The wire you want is to the left of the bolt, top row, 4th one over. Should be pink with an occasional grey band around the diameter of the wire. That should be the Tach signal lead. I just wired in to mine today, but haven't had a chance to test it yet, so wait till I get back to you to make sure. Go ahead and locate the wire, and I will let you know tomorrow or this weekend. Later.

Hey...the pink wire is the one. Look for that one on the ecu, tap into it and you are set. laters.
