Hey guys my KAT motor build is ready to leave the machine shop and be dropped in, except my mechanic says I need to find out where he needs to put the oil feed lines for the turbo on the oil pan. where should I have him locate the oil line plug to screw on my oil feed lines going to my turbo on my oil pan? are there things to consider other than 'just a hole to feed oil' or are there things that may be affected depending on the location of this? Also, how big of a hole should i have him put on it if i were planning on running something a turbo around the size of a Holset hx50? I still have not decided on what brand turbo, but have decided on the size to be similar to the hx50.
Thanks guys!

The oil supply comes from the a T fitting that gets installed where the oil pressure sender is on the intake manifold side. The oil return goes to the pan. Where it's welded depends on where the turbo is sitting. You want the line to be as straight as possible. There is a thread or two in the FAQ with pics.

pretty much anywhere on the exhaust side of the pan atleast 1 inch lower than the flange where it meets the block. most of the ones ive seen have been either between cyl 1 and 2 or directly below cyl 2

Only really have to worry about placement if you are trying to run AC. Otherwise just at the top front part of the exhaust side.

If you run AC, like I do, you can weld the return between the AC compressor and the motor mount or anywhere aft of the motor mount so long as it doesn't interfere with the mounting of the pan.

Yes I agree with WDRacing. If your going to run AC tap it between the mount and the compressor to run a line, it's how I did mine:
