Hey guys, I haven't been on this forum for a while and with my current problem I hope you guys can give me some inputI've searched for it but couldn't find anything related to my situation so here goes

I picked up my car recently from a shop to get my gauges installed. I have the SR with the T25 turbo running on the HKS adjustable actuator. Before I dropped the car off, I was able to boosted properly (about 0.7-0.8 BAR, could hear compression surge, and had good response)After I picked up my car, I test drove it to see if everything is fine, which isn't.The boost gauge reads vacuum and when I punch the thottle, it takes REAL long to spool the turbo but I can't hit high boost like I used to. I popped the hood and realized that the WG arm is disconnected. So I re-attached it back but I'm still getting the same problem. Here is a list of symptoms I'm getting (exactly like the ones when my WG arm was detached):-Turbo is struggling to spool-Can't reach high boost numbers like I used to (maybe like 5 psi before I have to shift)-BOV doesn't sound-Don't hear compression surge when I lift the throttle

I want to know if it's a common problem so I can fix it before I take it back to the shop.

vacuum is reading about 22 HG (not sure of the measurements)another thing, is the wastegate arm supposed to move when I rev during idle? if so, then my WG doesn't work. Could that be the problem?

no the wastgate arm wont move until full boost is achieved, make sure your vacume lines are hooked up correctly and check to see if you have any boost leaks, what gauges did you have installed? There is an easy way to check your wastgate actuator, just use an air nozzle and a regulator attach the nozzle to the vacume line for the actuator, apply about 15 psi, if the actuator does not open, then its broken. also, the HKS wastegate actuators are adjustable, make sure it didnt become misadjusted when it came off the turbo.

How did they connect the gauge? Possibly they damaged the wastegate or fpr boost line?

Also, teeing those lines, line a wastegate line could cause this problem. Maybe your BOV is constantly open if they teed that one off as well.

Sounds like a boost leak, check your couplings and clamps on the intercooler piping

Well, I took my car back to the shop and they fixed it. Apparently it was the WG arm that was detached AGAIN. The newly installed gauges are Autometer Ultra Lite II I read that the HKS actuator holds a max boost of 0.9 BAR, but I've yet reached that; so far I've been hitting 10 psi. Maybe if I WOT at higher rpms?

the T25 kinda runs out of gusto at high RPMs
