turbo noise

when i turn my car off i can hear my turbo free spinning but i can only hear it down by my driver side wheel normal?

umm yes since the turbo is right behind the driver side fender....

If its a ball bearing turbo it will generally spin for another 3-10 sec after the engine has been turned off. If its a journal bearing turbo then its not normal.

its not ball bearing and it spins for a few seconds damn

It doesnt mean its bad, unless you see oil coming from it, smoke, or loss in performance.

yea no oil or loss in performance ll start saving just in case any suggestions for a upgrade on a turbo?

mine does the same thing...

you cant have a turbine spining that fast and expect it to stop on a dime just cause ur motor stoped also, not tryin to sound like an ***..

a good turbo upgrade for a mostly stock SR is the T28 BB off an S15
