Finally, thanks to Steve and Nemo at corner3garage, those guy really help me a lot (actually i didn't do anything, steve and nemo did it all the work). Turbo is in now. It seem like stock clutch (new, has less than 4000 on it) can't handle the power after 2000 rpm. (I'm in trouble! )And I don't have exhaust yet. yes, no exhaust. It sounds dang loud.

I got the new problem after that, it seems like the car only runs less than 10 mpg. used to be 23 mpg (freeway & locar combine).

What a shock, the gas price is hitting 3.50 next month, now my car only run 10 miles per gallon!

I need some help. what could it be?

Z31 T3 turbostock maf, injector6.7 psi wastegate actuatorno exhaust (does it even caust bad gas millage?)walbro fuel pumpOxygen sensor looks dang old.oh yeah, no intercooler yet.

ps. no pic yet.

ps2. if this's posted same thread, ignore this one, my computer sucks.

You need to tune that bad boy, HAHAHAHA. Hopefully that is all.

You are most likely running pig rich.

Check your fuel pressure -i.e. get a fuel pressure gauge - should be 43psi w/o vacuum, and 35psi w/ vacuum. If it is off, then that means your fpr has gone down the toilet. You may want to invest in an adjustable one. This should help there.

Go dyno that bad boy & put the settings down on your safc or whatnot to get the correct afr (11-12:1 ratio on boost, 14.7 at idle, around 12 or so at cruising off idle).

It also helps to not drive like an animal.

And the stock clutch is going to poo very soon. You might wanna change it asap.

because of NO EXHAUST, i was shifting every 1500 rpm. yeah 1500 rpm. didn't even run on freeway, never go over 40 mph. this's impossible, i think my fuel tank has an whole. Anyway thanks you two guys, you guys really helped me a lot. About #3 hose we talked about long time ago, i just pluged it off with screw driver.

oh yeah, do you know any good place to do dyno? i already wired SAFC in. only needs to be tuned. and how much does it cost to dyno real good and soso good?

ps. brokeas240, you don't have to come here on labor day. hehe

Sign up for honda-tech. They have a sponsor doing $40 for 3 pulls (don't know if that's w/ afr or not).

Thread: http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1348613

If you want them to tune for you, most shops charge around 100-150 per hour. So I would say it would take you about 1 hour since it's only safc tuning.

If you do it yourself, costs half that. - this is the "good tune"

If you do the 3 runs, and just tune in between runs - this would be the "so so" tune.

Whew, I had so much stuff to install this weekend too, hahaha. I still want to see your car sometime. I'm always in teh Irvine area, so yea.

Post pics man, post pics when you are done (w/ exhaust).

Why the hell don't you have an exhaust anyway? Irvine cops are viscious.

shoot. you know them. They (irvine cops) pulled me over 3 times because my car looks so ghetto. They just checked my ID. Anyway Turbo downpipe is ghetto setup, I have to bring it to shop to weld it to my original exhaust.

Right now, my car has no clear coat left, 3 different color because of s13 frontend conv., and plus dirt (Car wash became useless somehow.)

and about the dyno"Must be a part of Honda-Tech to receive these special prices", i don't know when is the last time i b****ing about hondas, who knew i have to join them? LOL oh my god. look at all the type R and **** I guess i'm with type S people. S13...

What did they offer for 300? Did you tell them about your setup? I'm sure to you it may "sound" shady at first, but it could have been a simple miscommunication.

1) They are probably doing the tuning for you, which will be absolutely minimal 150 or so.

2) Did they know you only have a safc to tune & only want a basic tune that will get you into the 12 afr or so?

Obviously if you tell us what they said they were going to do for you, then we can determine if at all it is worth it.

If you want to save money, you can ask them if they do the 3 pulls w/ afr outputs, then you can just tune in between. Or you can just rent the dyno for 1 hour or so and figure it out yourself.

The other place I know that does good work - mostly supras - is dynoxtreme around stanton just past super autobacs. They are more expensive, especially if you want them to tune, but prices should be the same ballpark as I said above.

I'm tellin you man, either just do the cheap $40 pulls w/ afr (only if they have afr put outs) & you can fine tune it, or get a wideband and do some street tuning. a more negative # will lean out the injector, a more positive # will make it richer. "Shouldn't" be too hard w/ just safc tuning and turning back timing a little.

thanks. maybe i'll just try to do it my self

can i ask you somethingi don't know if my 450cc injectors are low or high, how can i find out?and i heard -35% is about right for 450cc injectors. (safc setting)

DO NOT DO THAT ACROSS THE BOARD.

-35% is fine for off boost since your ECU thinks it's 270cc. However, try that on boost & you'll blow up for sure. That's why you need to tune. Everyone's #'s are a little different.

For starters, I'm guessing you are running super pig rich. So you can tune the first 1k & probably 2k rpm setting to -35% and you should be fine since you shouldn't be in boost at those rpms. The others, I'd temporarily stay away from until you have access to dyno where you can do yourself or wideband or something.

I sure hope your injectors are high because if they are low, the ecu is gonna blow out soon.

To check, take of clip, use an ohm meter (multimeter in the ohm/omega setting) and see the reading. If it is like 2-4ohm, then you have low impendance, if 12-15ohm, then you have high impedance.

If you have low, then you need to wire in a resistor box & do not drive the car again until you do so, you can seriously damage the ecu & your car.

Buy a damn wideband - do you have a bung on ur downpipe for it already? I'll help u tune it a little during my lunch break - I'm over @ UCI, hahahaha.

Then just DIY on their dyno. Rent it for an hour or 2, or get 3 base runs, or something.

In anycase, turns out I have messenger, just don't use it - [email protected] - i don't check mail there, but I'm online now.

p.s. your email don't work either.
