Great job on your car! When are you taking to a track?T88lexus wrote:she runs good for now.. I have no complain about it. I am running stock headgasket and sock bottom end for now.. and I have a CP piston and tomie headgasket when the stock one decided to go.
float_6969 I guess I am like you.. beating every little bit to the nissan OEM parts
I have a special set of regrind cams in my g/f's refreshened engine and I can say this, love them. Just recently got my kevlar clutch to start slipping. Kevlar is good for about 350hp. I believe the engine puts a wee-bit more now. But I too will tune, dyno and track it. Those 270s should be just fine without any major modifications to the head.T88lexus wrote:I guess I would share the info..
for these cam to be fit or bigger duration. you need to modified the head.
its not that hard but you have to make little clearence between cam lube to the head itself. high duration cam will hit the head so when you putting 270 or above or I may even consider check on 264 to be sure.. I know 260 didnt hit on one of the car that I worked on.. but just to be sure.
T61 is rated at 500hp or more.. it depands on the size of exhaust housing.. I was suprised about how it spool up with such a small displacement.
