I bought the turbo kit off of the ebay from ssauto chrome however, the turbo I got which is supports to be like T70 and wet bearing or something like that.. that is bunch of lie.

I received the turbo .. it had lots of shaft play in it for being brand new turbo. and .86 AR exhaust housing was pretty impressive .. way to big.( it reminds me my turbo off of my lexus) but yes exhuast housing dont even fit( I mean not even close to fit, no room and you have to take whole master cylinder off of it and even with that you have about less than 3inch off from the fire wall) . and shaft had alots of play it, so I took it part and used my brand new T61 masterpower center section and .58 AR exhaust housing. it fit nicly and I have no spacing problem bewteen master cyl and brake line. we made all the pipping and used 304 stainless steel.

test drive.. I will make 12psi with partial throttle at 4400rpm. with wide open throttle 3rd..... 14psi from 4700 to 8000.. car is on side way. A/F is at 11.9.. could be little leaner but outside is 21F today..

I will try to do more tunning and testing when I have a time.

Did you loose much bottom end with those cams? I'm really undecided as to what I want to run for cams. I'm thinking about the HKS units and running a 256IN/264EX. I use the car for autocross so I still need a little low end.

I guess I would share the info..

for these cam to be fit or bigger duration. you need to modified the head.

its not that hard but you have to make little clearence between cam lube to the head itself. high duration cam will hit the head so when you putting 270 or above or I may even consider check on 264 to be sure.. I know 260 didnt hit on one of the car that I worked on.. but just to be sure.

T61 is rated at 500hp or more.. it depands on the size of exhaust housing.. I was suprised about how it spool up with such a small displacement.

I have a special set of regrind cams in my g/f's refreshened engine and I can say this, love them. Just recently got my kevlar clutch to start slipping. Kevlar is good for about 350hp. I believe the engine puts a wee-bit more now. But I too will tune, dyno and track it. Those 270s should be just fine without any major modifications to the head.

that car is awesome. congrats man. cant wait to hear how much power it puts down and what times you run. ill bet its absolutely brutal.

i too just got my clutch to start slipping. with 168hp no less! actually this is in my dad's bmw with 195.5k on the stock clutch... funny thing though was that it just went out at once, ive never heard of that before.

back to the subject at hand though, your car is amazing. wish mine was that cool.

Do the 270 cams have particularly high lift? Because isn't that what would cause the clearance problems, not duration? Sounds awesome though.

you can choose from rash type or solid.. I have a 270 with 10.25 lift with solid. but I am pretty sure with 8.8mm lift 270 will hit on one part of head.if you want to know more about it, get a 270 cams and try. that is all I can say.

Are you running the solid cams on stock hydraulic lifters? if so you're lift duration and such will be fubar, solid cams have different ramp angles from HLA (aka lash, or rash for the engrish), as the solid cams directly affect the valves but HLA cams have to take into consideration the delay of movement due to the dampening effect of the HLAs..
