Hahah, you CAN bolt it up.. but it won't work right at all. I was wondering because you never specifically mentioned the lifter upgrade. Some poeple like Probe guys IIRC will swap in solid cams from a Miata but not the lifters..

sorry maybe I should of used hydro lifter and solid cams to make you happy and all. If I am that stupid, I wont even here to talk to smart a**. tomei told me that YOU CANT use it on solid cams with hydro lifter. if you want to be smart about it.. call tomei japan yourself. if you can speak japanese. (they told me you cant so) only reason why I said you CANT use them because what they told me not to and why would you... I didnt make the cams, sort of you. ask the right question to who made them. but whatever I dont want to waste my theard so if you have any other question then email me.

I was going to share some info and tips to help ca people but people like you assuming I am stupid. that just piss me off and make me not want to post in here or help at all.

lol, he's not making fun of you, he's saying the same thing you are! he says some people (like some probe guys he knows) have used solid lifter cams with hydraulic lifters and he was making sure you did it right (which you DID!)

Yeah, didn't mean to rub you the wrong way, was just trying to make clear that you did do it right, since as I said your original post didn't specify, and you did. And I was wrong about the probe guys.. they use JDM FS series not BP series cams, but they're still stupid to do it that way :P

when I get around to really upgrading my top end I'm definately going w/ Tomei solid stuffs but I'll have to save for awhile for that, not to mention I need brakes/tires/etc taken care of first

i guess I will update on my car..

she is currently running stock heasgasket with stock bottom end and eveyrthing.. I am trying to see how long it will last.

I have been driving it for 3 weeks now and 16psi with 7800 rev.

she pulls pretty good and it spins pretty good.timming is conservative and AF is at 11.0 on 20 degree outside.

I will be keep update on stuff and I am putting my head and tomei 1.2mm and ARP head studs. and I will give a try to see how much power ca bottom end can take.. stay tune.

I think its actually encouraging to see someone running a stock bottom end CA with some heavy mods. Alot of folks rebuild them right off the bat(which is the safe and smart thing to do, and which ill do probably), but its nice to see that a stock CA can be pretty stout.

P.S.--T88lexus. I thought that the only way you could get a sp63 was in a T4 footprint. I looked into it a bit when a friend of mine got an sc61(they are similar), and the sp61 is t3, the sp63 is t4--have they changed it to use a t3, or did you have to use a special turbine housing?

a. i don't know who deleted your other posts. i didn't do it, but thats beside the point.

b. you are not a moderator on here, therefore you it is not your place to say what posts should and should not be deleted. I don't have to ask you for permission to delete a post. Thats my responsibility and power that is granted to me (as a moderator).

c. don't question other moderators. not only does it make the moderators angry at you, its in poor taste. if a post of yours was deleted, it was done so for a reason. don't make another post whining about why a post was deleted. thats dumb and counterproductive.

if you care to discuss this more, send me an email [email protected] and I will put you in touch with the site administrator, but you will not talk smack about any moderators again. its not something we tolerate around here.

Thanks for understanding,Sean

I can't believe you're using a T4 turbine. When do you see boost? 6k? You've got to raise the redline man that must be a nightmare to drive.

They claim to offer a lifetime warranty against cracking on their SUS304 manifolds not that older 321 stainless they used before. I don't really understand that as 304 is a more "generic" stainless than 321 which is designed to sustain intermittent temps over 800°F

because 304 is so much cheaper, they can afford to replace then when they crack.

Thanks 8ggalant, I overlooked that. I'm surprised it makes boost that fast. What would you guys rather have, a t3/t04e .63 or .48?

The manifolds wont crack if they are "prepped" before install.

You have to do two things, well no--three

1) you have to cut between the runners to allow for heat expansion 2) you should run a bigger drill bit through the bolt holes a few times to enlarge them so they dont get too thight on the head boltsand 3) make sure you use a flex section in the downpip, or exhaust. Alot of people dont use them, and that puts alot or stress on the manifold when the exhaust bounces around form bumps in the road.Ka guys have top prep their maifolds the same way. Those 3 things should help out alot with cracking. Also--it might not hurt to have a welder reinforce that welds before you put it on. after all that work, and all that effort, you should have a tight manifold.

no problem...i knew i remeber'd him posting it cuz when i saw it i was like ...it doesnt seem that bad i mean im sure its laggy but it probly hits hard around 4k....as far as what size id rather have...id probly go for the .48...im just scared the manifold will crack

oh and t88 ditto on the project

It's not about getting paid, but being distinguished amongst your peers as a member that's knowledgeable, disciplined, helpful, and down-right friendly to be asked to moderate such a large audience. Responses like yours are totally not called for and I would ask that you not do it again in any forum. I'm not jumping to help "Sean" in dealing with this because he is very well capable of handling you himself, but the mere fact that you ask if moderators get paid. What do you care? Be nice!

Whats the deal man... none of that had anything to do with you, so why are you making it your business?

Do you WANT to be banned? Cause you're doing a good job of getting to that point.

Mellow...
