this is really a more question of "how can i waste the least money" because either way you could do it for less building your own now wanting to run more boost than what they provide for out of the box. so you see, build your own, lazy.

:D no disrespect intended btw

actually, even though some prices have been tossed around, this thread has nothing to do with which kit is cheaper. it has to do with which kit will perform better at 12 psi. building your own is not an option.

please try to keep this on topic.

the greddy kit comes with top feed injectors and fuel rail. you would need to find top feed 550s to upgrade.

It does, 370cc ones. He saying that to make 12psi, youd prolly want to get 550cc ones which would be fairly cheap as they would be top feed.

My understanding is that the Stock pistons suck and after getting into that much boost one of them will fail or at least the ring will fail. I think Race Engineering(http://www.raceeng.com) has some good parts.

hmmm

also, about the injectors:I thought he was saying he NEEDED 550 cc's like for some reason the greddy kit came with a top mount rail. I was just confused.

The greddy kit comes with top mount 550cc's and a blue top mount rail. It's the blue bar you see in the pics.

Another kit to consider is the import-autoperformance.com kit. It retails for $3800 including cost of shipping.

Here it is on my car, did all the installation work myself and fitment has been excellent. You can customize the kit to your specs or substitute parts where needed:

Well, if we're ignoring costs, then I would go with the NSPORT kit + some sort of piggyback + bigger injectors + a fuel rail.

But since cost is a factor in the real world, I would go with the Greddy kit + front mount ic and pipings + support tool + harnesses, which can all be had for under $4000. The idea of having your car tuned over a weekend of your choice sounds a lot better than waiting forever for JWT to remap your ecu with a generic map. Let's not forget that the emanage also has a 16x16 ignition map.

That's the route I'm taking currently, however, I'm using the emanage and setting that up for a z32 maf and 370cc injectors first on a n/a ka.

sorry to tell ya but the e-manage that comes with the greddy kit is pre programmed and you need a pasword to change it and make adjustents.

I know that... the whole point of moving away from a JWT ecu setup is so that I can get away from a generic too-rich fuel map and tune the thing myself. Each car has its unique fuel map.. so while a generic map may work, it may not be optimal.

And besides, I already have an emanage on order along with their overpriced cd so that pre-programmed unit that comes with the kit will be sold.
