Well I haven't really posted about my turbo project, but it is finally done. The car ran pretty good, it is running on three cylinders, but will fix that tomorrow. The setup is ka24de with a t-3 super 60 with 5.88psi spring. Man the car is totally different now and scared the hell out of me, but I like it. I like to thank some people who really helped me out; Bbandit- damn, we drove everywhere and went to lowes about 30 times and gave me rides to school when the car was down, I love you man. Mikespeed95 for doing my piping and letting me borrow his tools, Mojave for helping with injector wiring and some small stuff, the nico crew for helping me with mishaps along the way and whoever else who helped me with advice or lend me tools. Here are some pics of the setup and process:

Nah, I kind of recirculated back in to the intake. It is the most ghetto part of my turbo setup. What I did was use my old intake pipe and my old upper radiator hose. I cut a hole into the intake pipe. Not to big, just enough to force the radiator hose in and then clamped the other end to the bov. I am going to have to do it better, it works, but is extremly ghetto.

Go here to see some more pics of the setup: http://www.imagestation.com/album/?id=4286423543

Here is the ghetto recirculation

pretty good, not bad at all, the only draw back is that you have to splice the wires. Just found out today after a friend installed my boost gauge that I was actually running 1 bar. That is the reason why it felt so fast, but will work on that problem starting tomorrow.

Is that the etd manifold? I am considering getting this and want to know how good it is. And yes I know there are hundreds of threads about it.

I've been looking at those injectors. If you wouldn't mind, would you send me an email at [email protected] ? I just wanted to get some info, if that's alright.

Thanks

lol, kind of, i went cheap on the wastegate and am paying for it right now, getting bad boost creep. Should have my tial 38mm wastegate by the friday and everything should be fine after that.

CONGRATZ, I know just how you feel, you will be smiling everytime you hit boost for the next month. I know I was.

Shame on you for not going with a Tial wastegate in the first place. ;)

I'm about to bolt on my kit next week, but while making the dp and hotpipe using the ETD manifold, I did run into problems.

1) The wastegate flange on the manifold isn't for the 38mm Tial, it's slightly smaller (maybe 35mm?). My wg can't fit if I use the ring.

2) THe inside of the manifold looks like s***. I had to clean up a lot of it with a dremel.

3) If you're using a T04/T03 on center turbo, your ps resevoir will be in the way, and depending on if you have ABS or not, it'll be in the way also.

4) Again, if you're using a T04/T03 turbo, the compressor outlet area will be tight.

The 38mm and 35mm should both work on tha manifold. The bolt pattern is the same and IIRC they said the 38 would fit.

My wastegate came with a ring that fits over the wastegate, and will not fit inside the manifold wastegate flange.

However, if I don't use that ring, then it'll mate perfectly.

Well the 38mm tial wastegate that I am going to install tomorrow should fit. I believe the one I have on there right now the ring is actually alittle thicker. Bbandit has the tial 38mm wastegate on his etdracing manifold and has no clearance problems.

A little advise for people who has ETD manifold....Cut the flange for individual runners... and cut a line to the stud holes on the flange.Separating the runners will avoid exhaust leak from that area.

Fastpace's and mine leak slightly from between the head to manifold. For some reason, the flange warped so easily because its a whole one pice flange...

If i have to do this all over again... I will spare my time a bit to cut the flange... you want the manifold to expand freely..
