Just curious to hear what turbo you guys are running that makes good power and spools quick.

What kind of numbers are you guys turning also?

I currently have the best of 7.80@91 in the 1/8th with 1.6 60' without launch control. Rb25det, All internal mods, Stock T28 turbo and manifold.

Im planning to go back to the track this friday and see what kind of 60's I can get with launch control.

Im looking into the gt32 or Holset, But I want something thats gonna work with my setup. Remember Im an 1/8th mile car. I don't have 1/4 mile around me.

Damn, 7.80 in the 1/8th is pretty fast. How much are you boosting?

What are you using for an EMS, if you have something with 2 step and anti-lag you can run a bigger turbo and not have to worry as much about lag. Also is this a DD or a track only car.

BTWnice 60' what do you have for wheels/tires?

The only engine management I have is a SAFCII and thats so I can tune my fuel curves for the z32 MAF I put on. Im planning on switching to propane within the year so I can run more boost and compression. Plus I don't have to buy 1500$ engine management units to tune with.

I just installed a Gizzmo launch control, I have only used it 1 time and I broke my driveshaft. I have a new 1 piece steel shaft from shaftmasters I just installed.

I was running 17x8 F&R with 26x11.50x17 MT ET streets. But I have a new wheel combo, I traded my 17's to MeanGreenS13 for his Draglites. 15x4's up front and 15x8's in the rear. With this wheel combo I should pick up a tenth in the 1/8th, also should bring down that 60" a little more cause I was bogging with the 17's.

The car is not a DD, I do drive it on the weekends sometimes. Its mostly just a track car. I can't keep my foot out of it so its safer for me to keep it on the track

a 3rd gear pull will give inaccurate numbers, you hav to do your pull in the gear closest to 1:1 on the KA and SR trans its 4th. That may be why you got such low numbers, an miss could also be at fault

No doubt the 60's are good. But it still has more for sure. Cause pulling those 60's it is bogging.

Im still waiting on my ARP wheel studs so I can go back and test some more. But there on back order. So I dunno when Im going to get back.

I think it has a 1.4-1.5 60' and a 7.50 1/8th mile in it.

Nismo doesn't make them as long as i need. I just got a set of Draglite Mustang wheels so it takes 3.5"-4.00" Long studs.

If there not here this week im canceling my order and doing something else.

RB25drag, I googled Spring city TN and you are 3 hrs. from me. I am just north of Clarksville TN. We need to get together at Nicofest in Nashville July 26th and 27th. They are having heads up 1/8th mile drag racing at Nashville Speedway. zeroforum?id=240I hear they have a nice track set up on pit road and there should be some really fast imports for this area. We should be 1 hell of a race. Our times are very close. It should be a half way point for both of us at about 1.5 hour drive. Hit me up if you want a good race with another S13. [email protected] you ever want to see what she's got in the 1/4 we could meet in Bowling Green at beachbend raceway. http://www.beechbend.com/Dragstrip.htmIt will be a 3 hour drive gor you, you might be closer to Bristol??

As for turbo for your RB25 I would go with this............http://www.atpturbo.com/Mercha...e=GRTThe RB will spool this turbo much faster than the SR and it will easily put you over 500whp with the right injectors. That is as large as you will get with the stock bottom mount mani, if you want over 550whp you will have to go top mount and GT35R or larger turbo. You're looking at spending over $4000 to go top mount and you could go with the GT3076 with internal gate and keep your stock mani & down pipe for $2000 with tune and still make 500whp. You are close to these guys and they just got a new dyno http://www.jgycustoms.com/!!!!

I have heard alot about the Nashville race, Im about 2.5 hrs away from the track. I would come, but Im not sure how my setup is going to be. The last 2 times I been to the track I have broke on the 1st pass. Im going to I-40 Dragway in 2 weeks July 11th to tune my car. I have changed alot on the setup since I been last. I have a new custom driveshaft made by shaftmasters, New wheel combination and i have upped the boost from 10lbs to 15lbs.

Im about 4hrs from Bristol, Which Is a long ways for me to go and break on the first pass LOL. But when I get the setup right and reliable Im going to go run a 1/4 mile track and see if I can't hit some 10's.

As for the turbo setup. I can build my own manifold, Not a problem, But im going Propane probably over the winter. I have a close friend experimenting a bunch with it on some turbo cars. That will get me out of the 3000$ worth of Crap to tune it on Gas, Plus propane is 110 octain.

I would like to meet you sometime. Possibly a weekend get together BBQ ETC!!

How far are you from Crossville?

breaking axels or u joints? I have made over 100 passes with MT drag radials and never broke anything. If you feather the clutch and don't drop it you shouldn't break.

I am 3 hours from Crossville and you are 3 hours from beach bend in bowling green Kentucky. NHRA 1/4 mile track, that is where we need to meet!! Your tires are much more grippy than mine maybe to much. What rear end do you have? 26X11.5" ET streets, how much do your wheels and tires weigh?

I broke the axles twice and the U-Joints 3 times.

I know I have the U-Joints fixed, The axles are still the stock r200, I can't afford to get the better stuff right now. but I will soon. Problem was I ran an 8 inch Drag slick, was fine till 1/2 track and it would start getting stupid sideways with me, It was just spinning 3rd gear. So I upgraded to the 11.5 Et street, I got 2 decent passes on them, 1.67 60' 7.80 Then did a 1.70 60' and a 7.87, Thought I had found a good combination until the next pass, Then i just broke both axles and never moved off the line.

I Pre-load the Drive tran before I launch, I make sure I have No slack and I don't just drop it, Its really hard to slip my clutch, Running a twin plate Cusco exedy Stage IV, Its usually all or nothing.

I have recently traded my old wheel setup for a new set of Drag Lites.

My old wheels weighed in at like 175 for all 4 with tires.

These drag lites weigh in around 100LBS total all 4 with tires.

So I have shedded a few pounds, Also went from a 17 inch to a 15 inch, I don't think ill be as harsh on the drive tran with this combo.

Will see in a week what happens.

Here is a pics of the ride now:

I didn't know what kind of clutch you had, now it all adds up. 11.5" wrinkle wall and a twin disc, you will explode something with the 2 step. I am going 26x8.5 ET drag maybe on some drag lites if you can hook me up with a link for the wheels in 4x114.3. I ran a 1.72 60' with the same size drag radials. I have seen several SR's run 1.5 60' with the 26x8.5" wrinkle walls with a 2 step. That's all I need to break below 7.5 in the 1/8th.
