" I have made over 100 passes with MT drag radials and never broke anything. If you feather the clutch and don't drop it you shouldn't break. "

Dropped 2nd gear in my car today. With street tires on. That's what i get for talkin sh#@!!! Doing the KA/SR bellhousing swap this weekend instead of installing the 2 step.

I have never just Dumped the clutch, I know for sure it will break LOL, I think the Rb makes a little more tq than the Sr so thats prob the launching difference between breaking and not.

That totally sucks about your 2nd gear!! Are you sure the ka will hold up? They seem strong, But not 300HP strong.

If I ever break the rb25 trans im converting it to a turbo 350 Automatic with a Big stall.

Well went to the track last night. Was not happy, Car ran great, It pulled harder up top than ever before. But the track was Extremely crappy. Couldn't launch to save my life without spinning. Took my tires all the way down to 8psi, It hooked a little better but was still spinning pretty hard. Ran the best of 8.06 @ 87 with a 1.7 60'

It was also 90 degree's outside.

I went to the track on the 11th and well it didnt stay together for a single run. I ran a 13.8@101 and blew a coupler off my charge pipe right after the 1/8th. I have a short vid of the run.

Well I went back out to the track friday with a different suspension setup, It seemed to work very well, But I think I killed my coils in the process, The car doesn't make any power up top now, Won't rev over 5,000 without a misfire and dropping a cylinder. I guess my 2 step beat them to there grave.

MeanGreenS13- I got 15 passes out of the rear tires. They are now BALD lol, I don't think I will use BFG drag radials any more, They didn't seem to wanna hook and I burned threw them Quickly. I think im going to go back with a MT Et Street.

Man I tried every kind of burnout you could think of. I set in the burnout box for a good 5-10 sec before rolling threw the lights with a pro stock burnout!! Hell I had the track So smokey we had to wait for it to clear a little before we could stage. LOl, I also tried short burnouts, Nothing seemed to work. I did notice my front end not poping up like it use to and transferring the weight, So I changed front springs and that seemed to help, But Then my car lost power so it was hard to tell. Plus I burned all the tread off trying to hook.

Last week they were spinning through the first 100ft with me.

They felt sticky, But ever time I came off the launch control it went into a dead spin. Still went 1.7 60ft spinning, But I dunno,

I launched at 5500 @ 8-10lbs of boost off the line and 15lbs of boost WOT.

Here is a video 2 weeks ago: This was with the megan coilovers and 12PSI in the BFG drags, with a 5500RPM launch @ 10PSI off the line, Spun ALOT!!

Here is another video from 2 weeks ago. I put the Stock rear springs and Struts in, Megan coilovers on the front with a 5500 launch, 8PSI in the rear tires. Did the best 60' on this pass at 1.7 that night and the best pass that night of 8.06 @ 87MPH. Still spun hard off the line . I talked to the mustang guy afterwards, Said he's running a 302 with 125 shot, 373 gears with a t5 tranny. I got him by 3 cars at the 1/8th.

Tell me how to post a video on photobucket and I will post a 7 second pass next weekend if it's not to hot. I am doing a KA to SR tranny swap this weekend and running new wrinkle walls next friday night. Should be in the 7.5 range if I get a good 60'??? by the way how is your 2 step working out for you? It looked like it came out hard against the mustang with 125 shot!!!

Are you registered on photobucket?

If so all you need to do is look were you download the pics and there is a video section. Just click it and you can upload it off your PC.

The Gizzmo works great. I wasn't holding it long b/c I keep spinning, But it did do better against the mustang. That was the last run of the night.

I went last weekend, But I blew my coils, The car quit making any power. So I gotta figure out what happend.

I would love to see your 7 sec video!! I was hoping for alot better myself.

1st pass my oil return from my valve cover melted and blew oil all over the manifold. I smoked the track out like James Bond and still ran a 8.1@71mph lettinng out at after half track(I usuall MPH in the low 90's)!!! The wrinkle walls and the 4.36R&P come out like crazy but they scare the hell out of me. It took me about 30-45min. to let it cool down and get it fixed and then my best pass was a 7.90 but I kept boggin off the line scared I might break the tranny or driveshaft again. If I would have ran all out the 1st pass I would say something like 7.5@93. Once I get used to the tires it is capable of sub 7.5 in the 1/8th for sure in cooler conditions. I will try to load my smoked out pass on photobucket. I need a 2 step bad!!!!!

Thats Really good in the heat man!! You got some power on me.

What Kind of 60's were you cutting?

Im not 100% sure that my 2 step isn't messing with my coils.

Im having firing problems again. My first Gizzmo 2 step unit I got was Bad, It kept cutting cylinders. Which is Kinda the same problem Im having right now. Im going to buy a new set of coils and HOPE it take out my problem. If not I guess Ill have to run without my 2 step.

But Im going to change my turbo over the Winter and Switch to Propane for fuel. Im going for Big Boost and Alot of power now. Hoping I can find a Way to hook about 600 to the wheels Next season.

Ya thats Understandable. Gotta have a good job to do anything.

If your like me, I wish I had built a turbo v8 instead!! It would have costed about the same and there is more buyers on the market for that stuff. its hard to sell our cars for much of anything.
