Hey guys, my friend recently bought a 350z and is going to be turboing it, I am intimately familiar with the z32, but the z33 is a whole different bag of tricks I'm assuming. Can anyone here point out the obvious? Yes I have been googling everything I can think of but I trust this site over any others.

A couple points
-He's looking for about 600whp capable and a running power of 450 or so in town. -This is purely a toy, not a daily driver.
-He has bran new precision 5454 .63 at t3 turbos and 44mm tial wastegates already.
-I found him a spare running motor, although one plug keeps burning up on it, for $100
-Money isn't really an issue. Make it reliable formost we don't need to be pushing 440cc injectors beyond their limits if you know what I'm getting at.

I'm having a lot of trouble finding manifolds for him, plenty of kits out there but it is being pieced together instead. Any direction on this part?

I'm going to continue on research but like I said, maybe you guys can help guide me to the areas that require more attention then others.

Thanks nico

sorry just recently had surgery so havnt been on in awhile. rods are a bare minimum for that power, no one has broken a stock pistons so its questionable if its needed or not, might as well do it while the engine is open though, especially if he wants to make 600 on pump, really the rods are the only weak point on the chassis(well and oil pumps if you wanna spin her past 8500, but with the displacement the engine has its not really needed). the turbos is kinda hard to read, are you saying he has two? no one really makes headers that fit any turbo, they are usually pretty specific to the kit they come with and only really fit a couple turbos. since he already has turbos the best bet is going to be the SFR manifolds, they are pricey though would have been better for him to hold off and buy a kit. sasha subasic aka boosted performance(would have to google boosted performance 350z) has one of the top of the line 350z kits out there in several different options all single turbo. 6266 and 6766 in twin scroll and 6266 all the way up to 7675 for standard open turbine design.(turbos mount in different locations for the two designs) and prices start at 5200 for the kit iirc now. even if he looses 200 bucks on the parts he has now the BP kit will still likely be cheaper then getting a custom kit made with SFR manifolds(they are 1500 by themselves and if you went that route entry level turbos arnt the route to go would want something like borg warner EFR's)

the reason the manifolds arnt really universal is because the engine bay is pretty cramped.

i would get that second engine built by dynosty and he can run stock block on one of sasha's kits personally until the engine is built. they are a top notch shop and never seen anyone complain about them which is saying something about a shop. he wont be disappointed. fuel system i would go with a CJ motorsports setup although the single pump is starting to get close to its limits around 600 but should handle it with a 485 pump mayby even a little more, the line will be the restriction if anything not the pump. some 660-750 injectors if only plan on pump, 1000's if plan on e85. clutch options need a 6 puck south bend or one of the twin/triple plates. he needs to replace all his suspension bushings in the rear and diff bushings to prevent wheel hop, solid are the preferred way to go. ummmmmm 2am and on pain killers so if have any questions just ask them ill check this over the next few days.
