Well, if you haven't heard anything bad about it, don't worry. The one I've personally dealt with just seemed to be a hassle. another member on this forum with the 12 sec CA powered corolla plans on ditching his microtech for an SDS because it cost him some pistons. Not the most simplest of systems to use, but I guess they work. My biggest issue is the way the thing keeps changing screens.

One friend has the hand held, turbocorolla says he used both. I don't tune with them, but will caution you about max timing. Be sure that yours doesn't exceed 28* or you will be in the market for some new pistons as well.

Do mean while under boost not to exceed 28* or total timing period?

Total timing under load should be at or around 28* max (considering you're using C16) up until around 7k rpm and start dwindling back down to 25* thereafter. For 93 octane fuels, keep the timing at or around 25* with no retard up to around 17psi and start retarding thereafter.

wow that seems pretty low. And really now boost retard until 17 psi well I guess thats what I'll do then. Thanks.

Quote »wow that seems pretty low.[/quote] By who's standards? Unfortunately, you must learn about your engine before you can toy with a standalone system. One thing about the CA is that it is not a big timing lover like the SR or KA. But if you care to go against my suggestions, I openly welcome you to try it. And believe it or not, the timing is not that low at all.

So Dee, I'm SERIOUSLY contemplating joining you in the ranks of standalone. I'll be using the Power FC though. It's a pretty decent deal, and I'm just not sure I can resist it. 1G for plug-n-play standalone w/controller sounds good to me. Waddaya think?

Ok, I just bought it anyway. I think I'll be happy with it. I'll update everyone when I get it in and know more about it.

Power sounds spot-on for that engninee at that amount of boost, but with what turbo! My friend just cranked out 206whp on just $hitZ and giggles run. So 300whp is not out of the range for him. I did mine on pump fuel.

Now we all know that you meant to say trust as it is quite obvious but once i saw the word thrust it made me wanna change a few words around...what if you also changed the word "hands" to "pants" and then you read the ps and hear about how you haven't go a chance to try the stuff you talked about on the phone. I think we all know whats going on there ;)

Ive got a LT8 on a CA with no issues. The software can be confusing, but its a good cheap option for us Aussies.

BTW - My CA is in an N13

Sorry to inturupt but if You're only running max 15psi then you don't need to retard timing?? Correct?
