Well that sucks!! What did uprev say?AlphaSnacks wrote:Don't bother with timing adjustments on the car. Mine didn't like it at all - it lost 20WHP immediately on the dyno no matter what timing adjustments were made by the tuner and even more torque. So it was left stock and all the power came back.
I had the same issue with my 370Z, with some hotter timing the car would drive okay for about 5 minutes and then absolutely die in performance. Throttle response was shot and there was no power. The ECUs on newer Nissans and Infinitis don't like timing changes. Once I flashed the timing back to stock, those issues went away.
I haven't got any support from UpRev regarding the M. So I never brought it up to them.TheMajesticKing wrote:Well that sucks!! I didn't see the M56 listed, so I didn't.TheMajesticKing wrote:Yeah I use an Elm327 mini for mine. Did you download the Infiniti Advanced EX plug-in for Torque? I was able to see engine oil Temps and a bunch of other stuff with that plug in.

So so true. Even my daughters think that thing is ugly. Hey MajesticKing, I saw your car at the College Park show...just as clean in person.agoodall wrote:TheMajesticKing wrote:The juke has a stronger following because it's turbo'd but I can try.
That is beyond depressing... the Juke could run 9's in the quarter mile and I still would NEVER buy one...and yet there is aftermarket parts available? My little sister will be sooo excited (heavy sarcasm)
Thanks bro.coolchuck wrote:So so true. Even my daughters think that thing is ugly. Hey MajesticKing, I saw your car at the College Park show...just as clean in person.agoodall wrote:

I went to Moore Automotive in Fairfax, VAmexillis wrote:what shop is tuning your M on the dyno? Also what numbers did you put down with it so far?
Yes, at the crank. Not the wheels.94Q45Beast wrote:isn't the M56 suppose to have 420 HP stock?
Hello, I live in Florida,Mia I'm going through the grades you done to your M56S is there a chance you can give me some guidance on how to run the uprev?AlphaSnacks wrote:Well, I drove the car today without the plastic cover and my new K&N filters. My OEM ones were seriously dirty, 2/3s were pitch black after only 15k miles. And covered with bugs, surely that couldn't have helped my dyno. Anyway, without the cover, the intake growls now. It sounds like a legitimate aftermarket intake now - I am truly surprised with the result.
And while I haven't driven it long enough to see how the effects of heat will have, I do live in Florida and heat is pretty much immediate in our engine bays and I'm extremely sensitive to heat soak.
What are you for looking guidance on? How to get it? UpRev.com has most of your answers.1GR8M56S wrote:Hello, I live in Florida,Mia I'm going through the grades you done to your M56S is there a chance you can give me some guidance on how to run the uprev?AlphaSnacks wrote:Well, I drove the car today without the plastic cover and my new K&N filters.
