Trunk release location

It seems that Nissan did some tinkering in the Altima before the release of the 2009 models. I got one of the very first ones made and my trunk release switch is in the first row. I suspect they changed it to below for people to notice the useless keyholder that doesn't even recharge the battery lol

ahh deep thinker!...u wanna know if the glue is different doncha?well i have the release as mch does....so mine would be an earlier...and i baked my light...sucessfully...

the question is....does it vary between model...prem pack...cvt as opposed to manual..i have in this order...trunk..traction control off...and a blank... as u have guessed i have a cvt...

Mine is on the top, where your switch is. I purchased my Coupe in April of '08 brand new. I can check the manufacture date tonight if anyone is curious.

I mine that same as yours (1st pictures) and I just picked mine up June 28, 2008 and it was factory ordered so it hasn't been sitting around.

mine is the same as the 2nd pic (below), got it june 29, 2007. and since mine doesnt have vdc, i dont even have the blank button things either, mines just all dash with the trunk release and key plug in underneath

considering the two posts I quoted, I would say its not the manufacturing date of the vehicle that differentiates the location of the trunk release, but perhaps the factory the car was made...

EDIT: nevermind, the second post says 2007, not 2008

regarding the "glue" they use to hold the headlight together , it would be interesting to know if those who had succesfully baked theres have the HID's or not, because from what someone posted earlier the headlights are very slightly different, im not saying it would make sense for them to use a different epoxy but its possible

I have a 3.5SE CVT sedan that I bought in Feb. '07 but was made in Dec. '06. Mine is on the bottom next to the Ikey slot, the top row for me just has TCS.

mines an 08 2.5 SL with all the packages and my location is above....my friend has a 2.5s with connection package and his is below....we both have CVT and we both dont have either VDC or TCS....i think it may have just been a change from 07 to 08

tcs and vdc probably... maybe mt adds into the mix... what we need is someone with it on bottom to take the screw out in the fuse box, drop the panel, and get a look inside from the back

I got my 2.5s CVT it may, but it was manufactured in January 08 and I have it on top, but w/o VDC
