Did you happen to see a black 300zx convertible at Truboost during your visits there? My car was there between January and September 2005.

Yes sir, and I remember your car very well. I Don't wanna put your business out there like that, but what you have under the hood is down right beastly!!

Very good call on your end by ordering the parts from a more reputible place and eliminating truboost from that end of the equation. They made the claim that they could beat any internet price on parts, however I still ended up paying around the same price or more and in some cases didn't even get the right part that I ordered.

How was the install on everything? Hope they did a much much better job on that Z32 than what was done to my car. Any problems to date?

I ended up taking the car to another mechanic in Florida to finish the job. Truboost got it running, but there were a LOT of issues that had to be worked out before the car ran at it's full potential. It is a very fun car now, and it's not even fully tuned! 4K rpms in 1st gear at 20psi is SICK. It seems to smoke when I let off the gas at high rpms. I hope it's a tuneing issue and not a turbo issue. My turbos are brand new!

Truboost realized that they made a few mistakes and worked with me. All in all, they stepped up to the plate when I had issues after I picked it up. I think they just bit off more than they could chew with my car. I ended up paying more that retail for a couple of parts also. Email me if you'd like and we can compare nores.

just found this shot of our cars

Well I am glad they set things straight with you. I'm guessing in there minds they didn't make any mistakes with my car and don't owe me anything. well whatever the reason, taking unnessarily too long on a project car and swaping out parts then telling the customer he/she is getting a disscount is no way to do business.

i remember your car now! They were working on it once when I went to check on mine. I seem to remember them running the car and taking it for a test drive.

Well, my situation may be a little different from yours because I am local and I went to check my car out at least 3 times per month AND I had some friends go in and check on it also. I am also a Past President for the BBB in this area and I don't think they wanted any trouble from me. They tried me though. My bill was HUGE compared to the estimate given for the work they did. Long story short, I just didn't fall for it and worked out an amicable deal.
