lol, how do you feel about abilene? looking to do a 5spd swap, and you offer a hell of a price, as i dont have the experience or tools to attempt on my own.
abilines far but if your willing to bring your car to me id do it. if you need me to tow your car that far id have to be reimbersed. i called a few shops around and they were quoting around 900 so when i actually do start "advertising" so to speak the price is gonna be 750. ive had about 5 calls for 5 speed swaps in the last week.

and wow thats so ironic about that 240 with the skyline motor. i just got a truck from a guy in abiline and he was telling me about that car caz its his friend!!

to the OP: if you can change a clutch you can swap to 5 speed. it isnt too much more then a clutch swap really.

and to jeff420 if i was close i would hit you up for some help on my swap. 600 parts and labor is helluva a deal

might be able to just bring my car down to you, but if i did need it towed i would definitely make sure you were reimbursed on that. working on getting a loan at the moment, so we'll see how this works out.

thats the thing, this isnt aimed at the op its actually aimed at one of my friends, lol. some ppl dont belong workin on cars, case in point my homeboy couldnt get his s14 fixed for s***. coolant leaks, oil leaks. at the same time.......car was down for months. when he finally got it running it caught on fire from carelessness. so not only did i have to fix his motor but i had to fixed his burnt up harness.

moral of the story is, not everyone should work on their car. its not worth your car or even the life of others just to save a few bucks.

this is true. some people can botch swapping spark plugs or changing oil and eff up the motor.

i have some experience wreching on my car. swapping motors out after a blown on, some suspension and fixing my car after an accident and such.

still havent done a five speed swap but after alot of research it doesnt seem all to difficult if you have the tools and a little mechanical knowledge. i just hope i dont break my car after saying its prettyy straight forward

700 installed is one hell of a deal. I wish we had deals like that in Canada. Most shops charge about $1500 for parts and labour.
