i know a lot of people talk about boosting their blocks with tons of power and high boost levels. there is talk about forged internals and all but my question is what is a safe level of power before the transmission needs to be beefed up. obviously a better clutch and flywheel will be desired as long with other things but when does this become a need rather than a desire????????

Also i have read up on the forums related to what kind of power the stock internals will hold before forged internals need to be researched but in none of the write ups i have read does it say a specific boost number (such as 10psi or whatever) is the safe stopping point. I am wanting to but the turbonetics turbo kit and push around 300 rwhp eventually with it but what psi is the most you would reccomend on a completely stock 240sx.

Also does anyone know a place that sleeves the KA block because Darton only lists sleeves for the Nissan RB26DETT and the SR20DET engines. Alright thanks and sorry if its a repost

If you toss a turbocharger on your 240 with a stock clutch, you wont be boosting on it for long. A flywheel isnt necessary equipment, only helps you put more power to the ground.

A clutch is just one of the things you have to buy if you want any serious power out of your car. Simply put, the stock clutch can not handle the extra torque that a boosted motor will put out, and will fail. If you baby it sure you can get miles out of it, but you also wont be putting down power.

The reason there is no.. boost limit.. is because there isnt one. Theres a guy on here who has run 21 pounds of boost and put down over 400 HP on a stock block. Theres quite a few more who have blown their engines in the teen boost levels.

You need to read the second post from the top of this forum... Heres a link for convenience. zerothread/226410

Depends on condition of engine, and your tune. Main reason for ka's blowing is people cheap out on the tuning...
