I'm sure it's possible, a bit ago a guy had a truck with opposite done to it, and it required some switching about of some spade connectors. All the variants of these trucks use the same wiring harness, so just gotta sort out the proper configuration.

here is that thread:zerothread/476447

Jack up the truck 14 to 18" off the ground. Slacken the bolts holding the transmission to the engine. Remove the starter and slacken and remove the torque converter bolts. Using a screw driver push the torque converter as far back as it can go. Place a jack under the transmission and remove the mountain bolts. Disconnect the selector rod and wires connected on the transmission. Lower the jack a little and shake side to side. The transmission should start sliding back. Make sure the torque converter is coming out with the transmission. Remove the transmission completely (you may need help to remove it). Remove the flex plate, then remove the shifter in the cab.

Install the flywheel, then install the clutch disc and pressure plate. Center the disc with the centering tool. Install the gearbox by lifting the rear over the cross member, then jacking up the front. With the input shaft of the box inline with the hole in the pressure plate push the box forward, rolling it side to side to line up the splines on the input shaft to those in the clutch disc. It should slide all the way up to the engine back plate. Install the bolts which hold the engine and box together. Jacking the back of the box, install the mounting and bolt in place. Tighten the bolts from the engine back. Install the clutch slave cylinder and drive shaft. Both trannies use the same yoke for the drive shaft. Attend to the wiring and you're done.

Hope this helps ya.

thats perfect!!only two more questions!!lol

what trannys can i use???????like do hardbody trannys work or does it have to be a 720 with the z24??

and what about the clutch pedal??iv noticed that nissan made it really easy to change things on these trucks theres extra bolt holes for different seats, grills, headlight location.....so im hoping i can just throw a pedal and master cylinder in i see theres hole in the firewall for the cylender to come through next to the brake cylinder...

oh and does anybody know what i should pay for the transmision???whats a decent price for one??

Try the junk yard to get the brake/clutch pedal set up. Its much easier to do. Any transmission from the Z, or L series should work although some one told me it wont. I am using a transmission that was fitted to an L18 on the Z18 I'm installing and it lines up perfectly.

It should bolt on. The length of the box varies. It would depend on the HP of the engine as the more power the engine puts out the shorter the box.

If they're 4 speeds, they're long boxes and will have your 24 revving way high on the freeway. you gotta look for some 5 speeds.

Man, you guys are lucky. Down here a good transmission goes for 200 bucks and an engine is close to 1000 US.

Nope. The J16, L18 and SD22 are the most common but the SD22 are the least produced here. LD20 and TD24 are common diesel conversions.
