A U-Haul trailer wouldn't hold 4 gals luggage for a week! :tongue

The 440 Six Packs were awesome, especially the way you could actually see the gas needle moving....

Oh yeah...that is for sure (both statements). It had the regular fuel pump that it ran on all the time and an electric fuel pump with a toggle switch under the dash. If you were going to punch it, you had to reach down there and flip on the electric fuel pump or it would die. It looked just like the Charger on the trailer from that first Hemi commercial. Stripe and all.

Technology has come a long way.

A guy in my home town had that rig in a SuperBee, balanced and blueprinted. Had to run stiff sidewalls on the rear to keep from flattening the tires off the line. He had a standing bet where he and the passenger would each put a $20 bill on the dash in front of the passenger. He'd say "Go" and the passenger could keep whatever he could grab before it hit the floormat or his lap.

I don't think he ever lost, very rarely did as bad as break even.

Ours was B&B too. Built by Racing Head Service here in Memphis. It would burn the electrode off of a sparkplug in a week. The whole thing would be gone. That and coil wires. Those would last about a month. Alternators would last about 6 months, even though it didn't have a/c. It had such a cam in it that it would hardly idle. D@amn it sounded good.

My brother wanted to drive it once (not a car guy). He got on a gravel road and looked at me and said "can I get on it". It's like HELL NO....not on gravel!!!
