I'm so sick of seeing this. For those of you who don't realize, a rotary motor will last just as long as you want it to.
so am i. too many ppl get rotary powered cars and try to treat them the same way you do a reciprocating engine and its just not the same. that doesnt mean you have to be gentle with a rotary either though. i took care of mine and i also beat the piss out of it. it also ran fine, the only problem ever was a leaky injector

Having owned both an FC and 2 S13s, I vote skip it. Rotaries are very fickle, even more so when you add a turbo. They are great cars and awesome motors, but if you only have one or the other, keep the 240. IF you have a truly reliable daily driver, I say get the FC. They are awesome cars.

You're telling me a REBUILD KIT doesn't cost ~$1000? This is just finding one in less than a minute: http://www.atkinsrotary.com/st...age=1And thats from atkins. I know a little bit about rotary, I have a friend that also rebuilt/street ported a 12a, hes only into RX-7's, I've learned alot from him.
yea i know, but is it going to hold compression and is not going to run rich all the time............

As an owner of an NA S5, don't bother unless this is going to be your weekend toy or track slut. They make horrible dailys unless you have a s*** ton of money to throw into them at any given time. Also, if you are planning on drifting it, there are limitations to consider.
-less steering angle stock
-front diff mounts need to be modded unless you wanna ruin it in short order and go through driveshafts like I did cause you can't really replace the U-joints.
-damn near 50/50 weight ration means they change direction VERY quickly. I STILL can't hold a drift after a transition. It just snaps around, no ifs ands or buts. This may be due to mine still having the stock DTSS bushings (dynamicly tuned steering system) in the back that create toe out under cornering g-forces. they get really old and sloppy over the years.

Bottom line, I would buy another. But I would make damn sure it has ALL the stock interior, and its all in pristine condition, and that there are no electrical issues. the grounding systems on these cars at their age need refreshing unless its already been done.
