this man speaks the truth.Second Shadow wrote:well, I mean you could but what exactly would the point be? there both really well balanced F/R cars with well designed suspensions, lots of power potential, good looking bodies, and they both have chassis unique problems.
Your going to get the same after market support, same type of community, same type of racing/drifting/meets....you're not really changing much here.
He does have a point. But if it were me, I would trade. Just because I like RXs. A buddy of mine had a turbo one a while back and it was pretty quick and fun to drive.Second Shadow wrote:well, I mean you could but what exactly would the point be? there both really well balanced F/R cars with well designed suspensions, lots of power potential, good looking bodies, and they both have chassis unique problems.

The rotary is something every man should experience. It's the drunk college girl of engines. Fun, mysterious, irresponsible, up for anything, can become dramatic at the drop of a hat and you wish sometimes when you aren't balls-deep in it, it would just go away.
no....no....no......a cheap rebuild would cost $1000, but did you know that a rebuild that cheap they reuse the apex seals?.....i know a little bit about rx-7 and a good rebuild motor will cost $3000 to $4000 dollars and if you dont believe me then talk to some real rx-7 enthusiast, they know how much it would really would cost.S13Joe wrote:I say trade it BUT if the RX-7 has never had a rebuild, it will need one soon (Kit costs ~$1000). Check for hot/cold start problems too, compression test always helps.
You're telling me a REBUILD KIT doesn't cost ~$1000? This is just finding one in less than a minute: http://www.atkinsrotary.com/st...age=1And thats from atkins. I know a little bit about rotary, I have a friend that also rebuilt/street ported a 12a, hes only into RX-7's, I've learned alot from him.sloweighty wrote:

That's preposterous, fc's dont have to be done up to look good! They look badass this way......AND that way!I say trade imo.boycottdrifttuners wrote:i wouldnt trade especially if the other guy initiated the trade proposal. something about that has always made me leary. keep the s13, drop a big turbo in it and away you go. plus, the older gen rx7's are pretty ugly in my opinion unless they have been done really nice. gold rims on your car would look sick!!!!
I see plenty here in Socal for some reason, especially in the Rowland Heights area where all the Zilvia junkies are. what happened to your front end btw? im sure youve been asked 23423 times.AZ89two4Tsx wrote:^ now that is a nice FC.
Very rarely do you see ones that tastefully done.

I'm so sick of seeing this. For those of you who don't realize, a rotary motor will last just as long as you want it to.Redevil wrote:rotaries are high maintenance and problem prone. Stick with the KA and beat it to s*** without having to worry about blowing a seal.
I upgraded to the "limited edition."Jdmstyles wrote: what happened to your front end btw? im sure youve been asked 23423 times.
