totaled the z tonight. (new pics)

Well I totaled the z and was almost killed tonight but other then a small cut and a lot of pain I'm doing okay.

Got cut off by a scooter on the way home from watching the Alabama game with some friends at the bar.

Well this was going around a sharp turn ( I was doing about 45) Well I locked up the brakes and slid it side ways while trying to counter it snapped back and jumped the curb sinding me sideways between a poll and a building. I clipped the front driver side on the poll sending me into the building right rear first. Nailed the wall hard enough to take the car off all 4 wheels. Finally got it stopped about 300 ft from the wall I hit.

It looks like the cabin was mostly in tact, though honestly I can't tell in the dark. Glad you're okay.

The cabin is in pretty good shape but the rear glass shattered and the hatch broke off the welds. The driver side window blew up right after the side air bag dropped down tho. All and all she's don't nothing worth trying to save.

That sucks hard man, glad to hear you are ok. Did the stunt rider stop or just ride on into the night? Nothing like encountering a moped doing half your speed in a curve, dude is lucky you clipped the pole instead of his moped.

Yeah man there was a cop at the stop light about half a mile back and he said he heard it happening.. there was 7 cops on site within 5 minutes of the crash. all very cool about it and just making sure i was ok. im about to run up to the yard where its being held and see whats what and if it would be worth buying back to part out..

i really do think i had someone looking out for me, ill post up the pics of the crash site when i get around to heading back down there but you will see how little room i had to fit that car through without clipping power lines and another wall.


Crazy stuff but like everyone said im safe and thats all that matters in the end.

...and that you're in good shape. Z's are easy to come by, there's only one of each of us.

I'd be interested to see pictures taken in daylight, just to see how well the cabin held up when compared with the exterior damage.

yeah i just got word from ins. they are hooking me up good. ( 6k more then i payed for it in the start) but still not how i wanted it to go. i hate seeing any car get crushed. I guess it all works out in the end and someone has plans for me so ill take it as it comes and jump right back into the game.

Not sure what's next but i have my eye on a thing or 2

As for the Insurance company - don't forget, their first offer is their first offer. Especially, if it's the other guys insurance company b/c you didn't ask to be in an accident. I'm not saying "sue anyone", but realize they're offering the lowest amount they think you'll accept. Look around to see what it will take to replace it exactly and counter.
