I'll get some pics of it up tomorrow, I'm having it towed to the house around noon.

I'll probably be selling my aftermarket parts that are still good...Injen intake, KYB AGX, 10-disk CD changer, etc...let me know if you're interested...I know there isn't much lol only had the car 4-5 days

I was thinking of buying a non-running 240, and just swapping in all of my parts from the old one...all the damage was in the rear of the car, from the rear wheels up there is maybe 20$ in damage.

Man, I never drive my S13 when it is wet. CA18 + Azenis + RWD = 0 tration. My buddy put his in a ditch just casually driving home one day on the highway in the rain. I am glad to hear that you are safe though, and that you learned your lesson. I am not going to harp on you (cuz you are one of the smart/lucky ones that will actually learn from this!) but everyone else that thinks it is cool to race on the street: Grow up. Don't endanger me or my family/friends just cuz you got a small set and wanna show off.

Yeah, that is/was the last time I will ever race on the street. Now going to the local drag strip is different =) but I may even stay away from there for awhile =P

also.. #1 don't drive a car.. your not ready for one yet... #2... you need to drive like grandma in the rain... since you apparently weren't told how to drive in the rain regardless if it was raining or not.. wet road+240+ being stupid by driving at excessive and careless speeds= you really got what you deserved by wrecking the car.. glad your ok and maybe.. just maybe.. you might rethink what you did and how stupid it was.. and #3rd... you are lucky you didnt hit another car or kill someone cuz if you did i nor would anyone else from what i would a s sume would have any pity for your wreck that you brought upon yourself

^^people make mistakes, especially teens. Get over yourself, I relized my mistake, learned from it, swore to never to it again, and luckily no one else was hurt. You don't have to be an ***. You may not have meant it like that, but that is how it comes off to me. Trust me when I say I've had plenty of scolding from parents, the law, etc.

i'm sorry if i came out as an a s s hole but i lost a good friend a couple of months ago from doing the same thing except wasn't wet.. and he had 4 people in his car... saw him 4 hrs before it happened... him and his passenger died... thats what makes me angry when people believe they control something that is capable of anything without the drivers notice...

No don't worry Jack, we know you're an a s shole;)

Now for my $.02:Buy something cheap. Something with the bare minimum you need to get you from point a to b. Keep the 240 as is, let it remind you of that stupidity. Trust me, it works (I would know...)

Don't go straight into another shell because trust me, you don't have the skills necessary to drive a rwd car in the rain. Invest in some instruction time, learn how to countersteer, learn all the tricks you can, they will save your *** someday.

I have this feeling that it wasn't just my lack of experience, I have a feeling a tire blew out. The car was fine and all of a sudden went crazy...but I'm really sorry to hear about your friend, and just to let you know, there is no way in hell I will ever do something like that again, nor will I let any friends do so.

but it also could have been my lack of RWD knowledge. I've drive plenty of FWD cars, and owned two of them. I haven't had too much experience with RWD cars though, driven one a few times, but that's about it.

Its a completely different way to handle your car. and the steering method is different too when you lose traction in one set of wheels compared to another.i wish i could explain. Im not always good with words.

i have to agree... my car came with VLSD so i don't know how a open diff would handle.. but i know one thing.. ones my car looses traction i take my foot off the gas and wait for the wheels to catch traction again... and countersteer if necessary

That or upshift into the highest gear possible...guaranteed traction.

Open diff handles like ***...I hate it.

I had an open diff before I swapped J30VLSD. Very huge difference, traction cornering everything is just different and better.

Here are a few pics after the wreck. I wasn't able to keep it when the truck towed it home, due to that it was still leaking some gas..so I watched my baby being taken away again... :crybaby

If the pics don't work.. you can go here..

yup, it's on there, by a thread...if anyone wants to buy for parts, engine is non damaged KA24with 163k. As far as I can tell, the KYBs are good too....doubt anyone wants that, but it's worth a try. Or know where I could find another 240 similar to that one, running or not, let me know. Thanks.

Front bumper is good, except for a minor dent as you can see in the pic. If you'd like I could have it fixed.

everything on the car is up for sale, but of course I'm not going to sell someone a totaled part, I know that everything under the hood is undamaged and everything inside of the car as well. Left quarterpanel glass is shatter though as you can see. Just e-mail me with what you are interested in and let me know where you live so I can find out shipping, etc. Also let me know how much you\re willing to pay for the part. Thanks!

If you go to my cardomain site, you can see complete internal pics of the car, engine, etc. I'll post the link for you, that way you can see what the interior is like. The 10-disk changer has already been sold, as well as the headunit.
