Horrible execution by mazda.
Horribly programmed ECU (Bogging, fuel cut, boost cut)
Insufficient Intercooler
Weak diverter valve

Still a beautiful car (MMmmm..Lava Orange)
And those problems can easily be fixed aftermarket.
I wouldn't know lol. I got to drive it once, and it was loads of fun. Love the sound of the turbo, too.

Forgot another one..
DC2 ITR.
The technical specs on the thing are amazing. Piston speeds faster than Honda's own F1 car for god's sake. Best handling front driver ever? Rarity.
Only downside is the ricer-image. But I'd gladly accept that in exchange.

Not faster. Piston speed is a bit more complicated to calculate than most will think. A pretty good discussion about piston speed is http://forums.autosport.com/index.php?showtopic=69560

For the record, the fastest piston speed ever belongs to the 92 Honda RA F1 motor.

There is also the load and gravity factor that goes in part with how impressive it is for the motor to be turning at a certain speed.

Ahh, there it is. Only fitting Nala would be the one to list the amazingly milquetoast 240SX as a "top 10" car. Actually his whole list is pretty damn white bread.

f*** I seriously listed an 83 chevy van, I'd like to think this is close enough....

Also, love for how many people listed the Apollo. I'd like to think my inclusion had something to do with that. :gapteeth:

:lolling:
You know, taking it as a list of cars that would be what I seriously own...

I would take the accord as one to keep me grounded.
My buddies mom had one of these, and driving it I fell in love.
It is ENORMOUSLY aimed at peoples grandmothers and sisters. An amazing example of how a people carrier should be designed.
It is perfect as bland transport, and yet if you push it a bit, it behaves properly. It is a softly sprung econobox to the core, but they did an amazing job on the handling of the car. While it rolls like crazy once you get it to take a set it is amazing for its class. It does an awesome job of transmitting what is going on on the road to its driver despite the incredibly light steering, and ignoring its low limits of grip it feel very willing to handle well.
In essences, I feel it is the exact definition of how suspension should be designed in a transport car for people not looking for entertainment. It is sports car for those who only require a utility vehicle. And coming from a stiffly sprung serious vehicle it is an absolute RIOT to drive.

Much as I might like modern Lambos, it was all downhill from the Miura. They'll never top that car.

i just like this list because everything has a purpose. there's no "just because" vehicle. i'm all about my possessions having a specific role in my day to day activities. i don't need a 2 million hp car, what would i do with it? look at it? because i damn sure won't be driving it.

I agree with you, but to be fair, I have not driven a Murcialago or Gallardo. But I feel similarly about most of european exotics. The advanced technology (launch control, fraction of a second paddle shifts, ultra wide tires, etc...) has kinda dulled what I thought was the ultimate in manual driving experience.

The F40 and Daytona are the last Ferraris I really liked, and the Ghibli is the last Maserati, though for Porsche, I gotta admit I kinda liked driving a Carerra GT.

My buddy that played for the Pacers has a Gallardo and a GT2...

the GT2 pwns the Lambo but the Lambo is hella fun to drag race with all the launch control and s***....as much fun as it is though, I hate the disconnected feeling that comes with most modern day supercars. The high dollar Benz's are the worst by far but the Lambo is a very close second. My favorite drivers car is hands down a GT2....fastest, smoothest, most unbelievable machine Ive ever had any seat time in. And Ive had ample in Andre's

you shouldve seen his face the first time we had them at the track. He was p**** footing around with them and I got in them and raped them both. His eyes were like "WTF!"

It was awesome. This is also coming from the guy that ran a 12.81 on a brand new modded Hayabusa. I got on his bike and ran a 9.22....hes a rich guy that is scared to death of his toys, which enrages me

I just meant aesthetically.

I'm sure new Italian supercars are smashing. Only Lambo I ever drove was a Coutach and it was more of an atomic death wedge than a real sports car. Super cool, but not easy to drive.
